The Black Panther Springs into Action from Diamond Select Toys!

The first Marvel Studios film of 2018 will take us deeper into the world of Wakanda, and Diamond Select Toys is getting ready to sink their claws into the amazing costumes and characters of Marvel’s Black Panther! New Marvel Minimates, Marvel Gallery PVC dioramas and a new Marvel Select action figure are all on their way, but none have been seen… until now!

First, the Black Panther conquers the Marvel Minimates universe with two assortments of two-inch mini-figures plus a box set, with exclusive characters at three retail locations!

At Walgreens, an assortment of four 2-packs will include:

  • –       Tactical Killmonger & Casino T’Challa (Exclusive to Walgreens)

At comic shops and specialty stores, a box set of four characters will feature:

Each 2-inch Minimates mini-figure features 14 points of articulation, character-appropriate accessories, and fully interchangeable parts. Each set comes packaged in a full-color window box, and all should be in stores by early 2018, with the box set hitting comic shops in December.

In the Marvel Gallery line, two new PVC dioramas will capture the hero and villain of the film, Black Panther and Killmonger. Each will stand approximately 9 inches tall, and when placed together, they can face off in a battle inspired by the film! Packaged in full color window boxes, they are in scale to other figures in the Gallery and Femme Fatales PVC lines, and both were sculpted by Rocco Tartamella! Look for these dioramas to release in the spring at comic shops and specialty stores.

Finally, the king of Wakanda joins the Marvel Select action figure line, allowing you to recreate the action of the movie! This 7-inch scale action figure of T’Challa features 16 points of articulation, and comes packaged with a diorama combining Wakanda’s technology and rocky terrain. It will come packaged in the famous Select action figure packaging, with side-panel artwork for easy shelf reference, and it was sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios. Coming this spring exclusively to comic shops and specialty stores!

Kingdom Hearts Select Action Figures Hit Comic Shops This Week!

It’s the 15th anniversary of the popular Kingdom Hearts game franchise, in which young hero Sora teams up with classic Disney characters to save his world and others. Now, with a new installment of the game set for 2018, Diamond Select Toys is rolling out their line of action figures based on the previous installments! Series 1 hits comic shops and specialty stores this week, but there are more exclusive packaging and character variations coming to other retailers in the coming weeks! Read on for details!

This week, comic shops, specialty stores and online retailers will receive two three-packs in Select-style packaging, with larger blisters and side panels.

  • Sora with Kingdom Key, Dusk with articulated support stand, and a Soldier
  • King Mickey with Star Seeker keyblade, Axel with chakrams, and a Shadow.

Sora, Dusk and Mickey feature a full range of articulation, while Axel features upper-body articulation and the Shadow and Soldier each have three points of articulation.

Exclusively at Walgreens, single packs are currently available of:

  • Sora
  • Axel with his chakrams
  • King Mickey with an exclusive Kingdom Keyop0 and an exclusive figurine of Pluto with an articulated neck.

Vinimates are Invading the DC Universe!

The Vinimates figure line has been taking the world by storm, with dozens of licenses making the jump into the 4-inch vinyl figure format. Inspired by Minimates mini-figures, the block-shaped posed figures have already captured the worlds of the Watchmen movie and the cinematic incarnation of Wonder Woman, and now they are capturing the world of DC Comics, television and video games!

The first series of DC Comics Vinimates is in stores now, with Batman and Harley Quinn at comic shops, Walgreens and Toys”R”Us, with exclusive figures at all locations. Walgreens has an exclusive Black Lantern Hal Jordan figure, while comic shops and Toys”R”Us will get Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Additionally, Toys”R”Us will get exclusive Vinimates of Blackfire and Flashback Starfire from the Cartoon Network series Teen Titans Go!

Series 2 brings Superman, Wonder Woman and the Joker, which will be available at all locations. Exclusively at Walgreens, the Black Lantern series will continue with Black Lantern Batman, while Toys”R”Us will get an exclusive Vinimate of Nibor, the reverse-Robin from Teen Titans Go!

In between Series 1 and Series 2, all locations will get Vinimates based on the Justice League movie. Series 1, which hits comic shops November 2, will include Batman, Wonder Woman and an exclusive figure of the Flash. At Walgreens, Batman and Wonder Woman will ship with an exclusive Battle-Damaged Batman figure.

Series 2 of Justice League Vinimates will include Superman, Cyborg and Aquaman, available at comic shops and Toys”R”Us. Toys”R”Us will also offer Batman with those figures.

Future releases will include sets of Vinimates based on the Flash TV series, the Supergirl TV series and the Arkham Asylum video game.

New York Comic Con 2017: Marvel Contest of Champions to Offer Exclusive Minimates

New York Comic-Con is fast approaching, and Kabam’s hit mobile and online game Marvel Contest of Champions is coming to New York Comic-Con! Offering tournament-style gameplay on the show floor, the Marvel Contest of Champions team will award prize packages to daily winners as well as the grand prize winner, but visitors to the booth can also get free swag, including exclusive Marvel Minimates!

Two original characters from the game, Guillotine and Civil Warrior, have been turned into 2-inch Marvel Minimates, each with 14 points of articulation and character-specific accessories. The French-Algerian vigilante Guillotine comes with her sword, La Fleur du Mal, which thirsts to punish the guilty; the mysterious Civil Warrior, believed to be an alternate reality’s Captain America, comes with his repulsor-tech shield.

One random bagged Minimate will be given to each visitor to the Marvel Contest of Champions booth #1466, with a limit of one per day.
