NYCC 2017: Toys“R”Us to Offer Exclusive Retro Starfire DC Vinimate

The DC Vinimates line kicks off this week with Series 1 shipping to stores, including comic-style versions of Batman, Harley Quinn and Hal Jordan. In addition to the comic-style figures, Toys“R”Us stores will carry an exclusive line of Vinimates based on the hit animated series Teen Titans Go!, and will kick things off at New York Comic Con with an exclusive figure!

Teen Titans member Starfire will be the first DC Vinimate available at Toys“R”Us. Based on her retro appearance in the episode “Baby Hands” and inspired by her classic comic book appearance, the big-haired figure stands 4-inches tall and strikes a pose straight from the movie! Packaged in a full-color window box, the figure will be available for purchase at Toys“R”Us booth #110 at New York Comic Con and online from Thursday, October 5 through Sunday, October 8.

Future releases in the Teen Titans Go! line include Blackfire, released along with DC Comics Series 1 this fall, and Nibor, the reverse-Robin, who will release along with DC Comics Series 2 in early 2018.

The Mighty Thor Returns to the Disney Store and Marvel Shop with a New Exclusive Hulk Figure!

As the highly anticipated film Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok heads towards theaters, fans have been hungry for more Thor products, including more of the Disney Store-exclusive Marvel Select Mighty Thor action figure. Now, with Ragnarok looming, Thor makes his prophesied return, alongside a brand-new, Disney Store-exclusive Marvel Select figure by Diamond Select Toys! That’s right, Thor has brought a friend from work back with him, and Planet Hulk is landing on Earth in October!

This exclusive figure of Planet Hulk depicts him in his gladiator armor from the character-redefining “Planet Hulk” storyline in The Incredible Hulk comics. Rocketed toward an extra-terrestrial paradise by Marvel’s greatest heroes, Hulk instead crash-lands on the cruel planet Sakaar, where he is forced to fight in the arenas for the enjoyment of the crowd. The figure stands approximately 10 inches tall (11.5 inches with his feather crest) and features 16 points of articulation, allowing him to strike a wide variety of combat-ready poses. Accessories include an 8-inch-long battle axe and a 5-inch tall spiked shield.

Pre-orders for Planet Hulk will open on September 12, 2017 at marvelshop.com and disneystore.com, and figures will be available at U.S. Disney Store locations by October 2. Later in October, the figure will also become available in European Disney Stores, as well as through disneystore.eu.

 

Diamond Select Brings Doctor Strange to New York Comic-Con!

New York, New York – it’s a heck of a town! And it’s only gotten better since the arrival of New York Comic-Con! Once a year since 2006, NYCC brings the fans together with the best of pop culture, and this year Diamond Select Toys will be there once again! In addition to a booth packed with products and a panel packed with information, they’re bringing an exclusive item that’s out of this world!

At booth #1644, fans will be able to purchase a fully translucent Marvel Gallery Astral Form Doctor Strange PVC Diorama, depicting the Sorcerer Supreme hovering above the ground with his spell-casting hands outstretched. Packaged in a full-color window box, the approximately 12-inch-tall PVC figure is limited to only 250 pieces, and will retail for only $50, so we expect these to go fast!

While you’re at the booth, check out display cases filled with upcoming items from Diamond Select Toys, including figures from Justice League, Thor: Ragnarok, Kingdom Hearts and Pacific Rim Uprising, and fill holes in your collection at the official DST store.

Ragnarok Arrives Early With New Marvel Minimates in Stores Now!

The highly-anticipated motion picture Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok is still a month away, but you can already collect most of the film’s stellar cast in a new assortment of Marvel Minimates from Diamond Select Toys, in stores now! With exclusive mini-figures at comic shops, Toys”R”Us and Walgreens stores, you can relive the adventure of the movie – or at least the trailer – in your own home!

Three assortments or sets of figures are available now or soon, across North America. At comic shops, a four-pack of figures includes Gladiator Thor (with alternate hairpiece), Hela (with alternate hairpiece and head), and exclusive figures of Bruce Banner (with alternate head) and Loki.

Diamond Select Toys On Sale This Week: Caddyshack, Nightmare and the Iron Giant!

It’s an exciting week at comic shops, as three exciting Vinimates and two exciting Minimates arrive in stores! Whether you’re a fan of sports comedies, sci-fi animation or stop-motion horror, there’s something for you at your local comic shop!

With the release of Ty Webb, the fourth character from Caddyshack, and two more characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas – Santa Claus and Zero – the Vinimates line is growing like crazy!
