The Definitive Collection of Barb Wire arrives in 2026

From series creator Chris Warner, Team Comics’ Greatest World, and Dark Horse Books comes the ultimate collection of Barb Wire comics: The Barb Wire Compendium. Arriving in stores February 2026, fans can revisit the classic series starting from the beginning in her first appearance in 1993’s Comics’ Greatest World in this new, comprehensive volume collecting every main line Barb Wire comic and a bounty of bonus material.

Bursting at the seams with a gang of the comic book industry’s greatest talent, this collection includes the work of writer/artist Chris Warner along with John Arcudi, Adam Hughes, Patrick Olliffe, Paul Gulacy, Tim Bradstreet, Dan Lawlis, Mike Manley, Adam Warren, Dave Dorman, Mike Mignola, Andrew Robinson, and more!

Steel Harbor is the American dream turned nightmare. This once great city was a monument to American industry and ingenuity; now, it’s a scrap heap of shuttered factories, decaying neighborhoods, and wasted potential being carved up and fought over by superpowered street gangs.

But where others see a warzone, Barb sees opportunity. When a bounty can punch through a wall, summon a tornado, or fly, they tend to have a big fat price on their head, which is just what Barb needs if she’s going to keep her money-pit hard rock bar from being shuttered. The trick is staying alive long enough to collect.

This collection features cover art by Hughes and contains Comics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 1: Barb WireComics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 2: The Machine, Comics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 3: Wolf GangComics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 4: MotorheadBarb Wire #1-9, San Diego Comic-Con Comics #3: Barb Wire: No FearBarb Wire: Ace of Spades #1-4, Barb Wire (Volume 2) #1-8, and, as a bonus, Chris Warner’s original character designs and redesigns for the series, and the movie adaptation comic Barb Wire Movie Special.

This is the biggest and baddest Barb has ever been! The Barb Wire Compendium 648-page (6.625×10.1875”) paperback will be available in bookstores on February 17, and comic shops on February 18, 2026, for $39.99. Pre-order now from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or your local bookstore or comic shop

Review: Predator Hunters #2

Two privately owned islands in the South Pacific. One an idyllic paradise overseen by a benevolent doctor, the other a jungle hell where monsters rule. The Predator hunters have come looking for big game, but it’s the traps you never expect that will kill you…

Predator Hunters #2 relies heavily on flashbacks. That focus helps to solidify some of the characters’ backgrounds aboard the ship giving us more depth and an idea of what to expect. It also shows us the various reasons why they decided to hunt the galaxy’s deadliest hunter. There is a big reveal in that a Predator has a hunting sanctuary on Earth. Which does beg one small question, how long has it been here?

The art manages to portray past and present as the plot shifts and makes it easy to determine when we are in the story. There is also some solid short hand to hand combat scenes as the crew preps for its hunt which primes the series for the eventual battle to come. I’m curious to see how that is useful against a Predator.

I am a bit curious to see how useful that is against a Predator.

Review: Predator: Hunters #1

The hunters become the hunted!

Space aliens have been coming to Earth for centuries—but not with any message of brotherhood or peace. They’re here to hunt the toughest, most dangerous humans they can find. Only now their former prey have teamed up against them. Predators, watch your backs!

Predator: Hunters puts up an interesting premise. Writer Chris Warner sets a hunter vs hunter like scenario where the roles are flipped. This series also manages to bring about unique mix of characters, who all have survived encounters with the Predator race. Most of that is illustrated through flashbacks setting up why we should care about these characters. It sets things up well leaving the reader to wonder what happens next. How will they find the Predators on earth?

The art by Francisco Ruiz Velasco has a nice blend of violence and realism so far. The issue manages to contrast the present and the past, with each standing out. I’m curious to see they use that style in upcoming issues.

Review: Barb Wire Vol. 2 #1

barb wireBarb Wire, the club owner/ bounty huntress returns after a decade of absence and her troubles have hardly let up, but not to worry, she isn’t ready to let up either.

She is a salty rip-roaring woman, and she does business the old-fashioned way, with a readied first and a bottle of whiskey waiting on her desk.

Creator(and writer) Chris Warner published  first Volume of Barb Wire in 1998. The comic was then made into a movie starring Pamela Anderson which has since been banished to the vaults of movie history.
