Spawn is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6

A new update for Call of Duty has been announced and Spawn is coming to the game in season 6 of Call of Duty: Warzone.

A deal with the devil comes to the game as Al Simmons transforms into the legendary comic book character Spawn. In the game you’ll see numerous Spawn-themed rewards and Operator Skins.

Spawn creator Todd McFarlane revealed that Keith David would voice the character in the game:

There’s a cool guy named Keith David who did a hell of a voice in [the HBO animated series],” said McFarlane. “And so they took the easy low-hanging fruit because I would’ve done the exact same thing. To me, he’s Mr. Spawn when he talks, so they just went with him. I was just out at the Activision studios on Friday and they said they had just finished recording him. So, they played a couple of his lines for me, it was like a throwback to HBO. I’m going, ‘Oh, man, there’s my boy.’

Spawn headlines the Battle Pass. The multiple forms of antihero Spawn headline the Season 06 Battle Pass, featuring additional Spawn Operator Skins alongside other monsters and maniacs arriving straight from the underworld.

For BlackCell owners, each of the following Operator Skins comes with an impressive BlackCell variant:

  • Al Simmons (New Operator) – Players who purchase the Season 06 Battle Pass system will immediately unlock the Al Simmons Operator
  • Spawn (New Operator, Tier 0 Skin, and Tier 100 Skin) – Receive a more tactical variety of Spawn at the start of your Battle Pass progress. Unleash hell with the mightiest Spawn Operator Skin of them all after completing all 20 Sectors of the Battle Pass system and reaching Tier 100.
  • Burned Spawn (Al Simmons Skin) – Prior to his transformation into Spawn, Al Simmons was deceived and burned alive. This shrouded figure is one of many forms Spawn takes.
  • Creepy Clown (Fender Skin) – A hell-born half-demon of considerable power and deviancy, the arch-villain Violator has taken the form of a rotund clown to anger Spawn.
  • Violator (König Skin) – Closer to the true form, the cruel and arrogant Violator brings “death on two legs” in the form of a grotesquely headed Operator to further infuriate Spawn.
  • Disruptor (Horangi Skin) – Masquerading as a businessman and responsible for the death and transformation of Al Simmons, Disruptor is known by many names and is feared as a crime lord.
  • Soul Crusher (Vega Skin) – A mysterious rival of Spawn’s, Soul Crusher is an enigmatic figure, using noxious gasses to asphyxiate his victims into submission.
  • Nikto Spawn (Nikto Skin) – Operator Nikto favors a similar tactical look and impressive mask getup and takes it to the next level with this Spawn homage.

SDCC 2023: Jazwares hosts its first SDCC panel and reveals its exclusives!

Mark your calendars! Jazwares will host its first-ever San Diego Comic-Con panel when the ultimate pop culture event returns this month. On Saturday, July 22, fans are encouraged to join industry icon and collectible connoisseur Jeremy Padawer as he moderates a candid conversation on all that’s hot from Jazwares in 2023 and beyond!

Joined by panelists Jamie Sikorski and Casey Wood (Pokémon brand), Betsy Burkett (Squishmallows), Max Lux and David Clarke (Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron), and Greg Mitchell and Daniel Jung (AEW brand), the group will also exclusively reveal new collectibles from a number of the company’s top brands. The Jazwares Spotlight panel will take place from 12:30-1:30 pm PT in room 29CD and interested Con-goers are invited to attend.

Fans who want to get up close and personal with the brand’s newest products and partake in various activations can also stop by the Jazwares booth (#3513 on the Show Floor) all weekend long. Con-goers will also have the chance to check out a variety of SDCC exclusives throughout the event including:

Justin Jordan Returns to Call of Duty Zombies with artist Andres Ponce and Mauro Vargas

McFarlane Toys Teaming Up With Call of Duty To Create Collectible Figures

McFarlane Toys will bring a line of collectible figures based on the blockbuster video game franchise played by millions worldwide, Call of Duty. The first wave of hyper-realistic Call of Duty collectible figures will include fully articulated, fan favorite characters, including the iconic John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley from the famed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare titles, with more characters spanning the franchise to be revealed at a later date.

Call of Duty collectible figures will be hitting major retailers in the fall retailing at $19.99 USD.

Dark Horse Enlists Larry Hama to Pen Call of Duty: Black Ops III Comic

Dark Horse Comics, Activision Publishing, Inc., and Treyarch have teamed up to deliver a thrilling comic book series written by decorated comics veteran Larry Hama and drawn by Marcelo Ferreira!

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III comic book series follows an elite group of cybernetically enhanced soldiers as they wage a secret war across a futuristic, war-torn world transformed by technology.

In the first issue, the elite squad infiltrates Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to take down a double agent… but as they close in, the operatives uncover something much more sinister at hand.
