NYCC 2015: Exclusive Saul Goodman Figure

Fans will have no objections to Mezco‘s very special addition to their intensely popular Breaking Bad line: Limited edition variant Saul Goodman with office diorama.

In Breaking Bad, Walter and Jesse narrowly made it through their troubles with his legal counsel and now this 6″ figure can stand as a reminder that when you’re in a bind, “Better call Saul!”

He comes in a deluxe slipcased window box designed to replicate his constitution themed office so often seen on the show.  With its unique mural and Corinthian columns, Saul’s office is one of the most recognizable and well-known settings in Breaking Bad.

Pre-orders on this item go live Monday 9/14 at 10am EST.

With its unique mural and Corinthian columns, Saul’s office is one of the most recognizable and well-known settings in Breaking Bad.

Preview – S.H. MonsterArts & TV Pop!

With Godzilla fever still running high, Bandai has few more little treats for fans.

 

First is the S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla (2014). In what is easily the best figure from the new movie, this bad boy comes loaded with articulation and an incredible sculpt that looks like the monster stepped right off screen. Godzilla will be available this fall for around $70. NECA’s 12″ Godzilla is arriving soon and with a similar price point, I am REALLY torn as to which one to get. I have huge love for the Bandai S.H. figures and this would take up considerbley less shelf space. Decisions, decisions. It’s a nice problem to have though.

Next is a classic character from Godzilla lore, Bandai brings us the S.H. MonsterArts Kiryu – Heavy Arms Type. There’s been a few Kiryu or MechGodzilla figures released, but this new version has some added features. The figure includes interchangeable parts to re-create either “High Mobility Type” or “Heavy Arms Type“, an originally crafted back unit, right hand unit and repaired head piece. He also features the flip down chest piece to reveal the Absolute Zero Cannon. This one looks like the perfect version of Kiryu to face off with or aid the Millennium Godzilla figure. Look for Kiryu to land in Oct/No with a steep price point of $125.

Funko has released some shots of their latest series of POP! Televsion vinyl figures. Soon you’ll be able to add the cast of Breaking Bad to your collection. The series includes a few versions Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, Saul Goodman, Gus (with a spoilery version too), Hank, and Mike. I feel Gus was only sculpted that way so they could make the other “Two-Face” version. That pose on the normal one doesn’t look right to me. These adorable meth dealers, crime lords, lawyers, cops, and thugs will be available this summer.

Mezco’s Black Friday Specials

Breaking Bad fans will have a lot to give thanks for on Black Friday this year. Mezco will be revealing not only a limited edition Breaking Bad figure, but a new set of limited edition challenge coins, and two sets of ultra limited “platinum” challenge coins.

The new action figure will be limited to just 500 pieces worldwide and will be available exclusively through MezcoToyz.com.

Each set of “platinum” coins will be limited to 100 sets worldwide, and will also be available exclusively at MezcoToyz.com.

Mezco’s first set of Breaking Bad challenge coins were released in early November and sold out within 24 hours. Mezco’s Black Friday sale items will go “live” for online shoppers shortly after midnight(eastern standard time) the morning of Friday 11/29.

Although Mezco cannot yet reveal images or further details of the Black Friday items, Mezco’s director of Special Projects said “These are sure to become some of the most sought after Breaking Bad items that Mezco has ever done. One of the coins has a design that was considered too risqué for retail, but I know it will be a fan favorite so I’m ecstatic that we are able to offer it for Black Friday. The figure is also something the fans have been clamoring for so I am certain the cheers from fans will be audible when we reveal the figure on Black Friday”.
