Chill Out with Hot Toys’ Mr. Freeze figure

Hot Toys continues to expand its Batman cinematic lineup with a new addition to the Rogues Gallery of DC villains — drawing inspiration from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s memorable performance as Mr. Freeze in 1997’s Batman & Robin.

Dr. Victor Fries is a scientist who dedicated his life’s research to finding a cure for MacGregor’s Syndrome, a terminal illness which afflicts his beloved wife Nora. However, a tragic accident during one of his experiments mutated his body, and left him unable to survive outside of freezing temperatures. Taking on the persona of Mr. Freeze, Fries embraced a life of crime to fund his continued research. Using stolen diamonds, he created a cryo-suit to sustain him and began work on a nefarious scheme to build a “freezing engine,” with the goal of encasing all of Gotham in an icy tomb!

The 1/6 Scale Mr. Freeze Collectible Figure is expertly crafted and meticulously hand-painted to replicate the stunning makeup worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie. The figure features a newly developed headsculpt with the character’s signature ice-blue skin, plus ultra-realistic skin texture as well as Hot Toys’ innovative rolling eyeballs feature—which allows collectors to adjust the character’s gaze.

Mr. Freeze’s specialized suit is also faithfully recreated with various metallic paint effects and a combination of translucent and iridescent elements. The armor, helmet, and Freeze Gun also include LED light-up effects for added movie accuracy. Accessories include multiple swap-out hands for a variety of posing and display options, a freezing beam effect (attachable to his gun), and more!

A special Deluxe Version of the figure exclusively includes Freeze’s metallic glider wings, plus a frozen environment themed diorama figure base.

The Iceman cometh! Add the 1/6 Scale Mr. Freeze Figure and the Deluxe 1/6 Scale Mr. Freeze Figure to your collection. Pre-order now

Batmobile Cutaways: The Movie Vehicles 1989-2012 is Out Soon from Eaglemoss

Batmobile Cutaways: The Movie Vehicles 1989-2012

Ever since his modern cinematic debut in 1989’s Batman, the Caped Crusader’s one constant companion has been – no, not Robin the Boy Wonder – his iconic Batmobile! Part assault vehicle, part pursuit and rescue transport, part mobile crime lab and part the screen’s coolest  looking car, the Batmobile has always been the most technologically advanced crime-fighting asset in Batman’s arsenal.

Like the Dark Knight himself, everybody has a favorite Batmobile and now all of the cars, from Tim Burton’s 1989 classic to the conclusion of Christopher Nolan’s trilogy in 2012, have been brought together in one comprehensive, fully illustrated, 72-page volume from Eaglemoss Hero Collector, designers, manufacturers and publishers of high-quality collectibles from across the many worlds of pop culture.

Written by Alan Cowsill, James Hill, and Richard Jackson – with original illustrations contributed by Ed Giddings and Mojo – Batmobile Cutaways: The Movie Vehicles 1989-2012 is a one-of-a-kind visual reference guide featuring original cutaway artwork approved by Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, as well as lavish illustrations and photos highlighting every vehicle from Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Batman Forever (1995), Batman & Robin (1997), Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

What’s more, the book comes packaged with a 1/43 scale die-cast metal replica of the iconic Anton Furst designed Batmobile featured in 1989’s Batman. Now you can discover what lies inside this and many other machines with extraordinary cutaway art. Take a deep look under the hoods and behind the controls as weapons systems and construction secrets are revealed.

Like all Eaglemoss Hero Collector books, Batmobile Cutaways: The Movie Vehicles 1989-2012 (ISBN: 978-1-85875-542-7) may be purchased from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Indigo, independent booksellers, and select specialty stores including comic shops and gaming stores.
