Walker, and Lee Weeks as guests of the 2025 event. Purchase your tickets online now.

After graduating with a BFA in Painting, Randy Green worked for several advertising agencies as an artist/art director and did some comic book work on the side. During this time, he worked mostly for Dark Horse and Image. Eventually, Randy was able to get enough steady work to pursue comic book art full-time, working for Marvel, DC Comics, and others as well. Top Cow’s Witchblade was his first long run as an artist on a title and opened the doors to many other opportunities, including Tomb Raider and a short-run creator-owned title, Dollz which he hopes to do more with in the future. Afterwards, he continued on some more work at Marvel on Emma Frost and New X-Men Academy X, always managing to squeeze in a project or cover for some of the comic companies here and there. In recent years, Randy has been doing most of his work behind the scenes for Disney Parks, and has had several books come out through Dark Horse and Aspen Comics, as well as several indie creators, and is currently working on a title, Stopwatch, written by Beau Smith coming soon from Clover Press.

Randy has been working comics full-time for nearly two decades now, and enjoys life in the country with his family, wife Amy, and children Haley and Max.

Torunn Grønbekk is a Norwegian comic book writer and portrait painter. She is best known for her work for Dynamite and Marvel, like Red SonjaThorPunisher: War JournalValkyrie, and Venom. She lives and works in Norway (and sometimes in her cabin in the Swedish woods).

She has recently worked on Realm of XVenomRed Sonja, and Carnage.

Andrew Robinson has painted covers for all the major publishers, illustrating such titles as Batman DetectiveHawkmanStarmanSuperman RebirthIron ManHydraStar WarsBlack Panther, and The JSA. He is a multi-award winning, New York Times best-selling illustrator for his painted work on the graphic novel, The Fifth Beatle. More of his sequential work can be seen in Batman Black and White #5, The Ride: My Brother’s KeeperGen 13Dusty Star, and Harley Quinn. Most recently, Andrew has painted covers for Rick Remender’s new Image book, Scumbag. Also, he illustrated issue 2. Andrew lives in Altadena, CA. You can follow Andrew on instagram @spacejunkees. Matt Slay has worked in comics for 15 years, but quickly made a name for himself painting variant covers for IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His dark and earthy watercolors bring a grown-up sense of danger to any character. Born in St. Michaels and raised in Easton, the Maryland native now paints for the sci-fi anthology series Time Traveled Tales with authors such as Timothy Zahn. Matt has generated production art for Marvel Premiere as well as Iron Man 3, and has since provided covers for Six Gun Gorilla and American Mythology’s Equilibrium while writing his own book and cartoon series, 3 Story Dungeon. Matt is represented by Comic Art House.

David F. Walker is a writer, filmmaker, and educator. He is the award-winning writer of Big Jim and the White BoyThe Black Panther Party: A Graphic Novel History, co-creator of the series Bitter Root, and author of the critically acclaimed YA novel, The Second Chance of Darius Logan. Walker is a Sagittarius who has worked for Marvel, DC, Dynamite, BOOM! Studios, and Dark Horse.

David is appearing Saturday and Sunday only.

Lee Weeks is an award-winning comic book artist and sometime writer known for BatmanSupermanDaredevil, and Hulk, among many others. His breakthrough came drawing a Daredevil run that culminated in the noirish, “Fall of the Kingpin” storyline in the 1990s.

Lee received a Best Artist award for his work on Batman, while his collaboration with Tom King on Batman vs. Elmer Fudd garnered a couple more awards…and a gazillion strange looks. His recent work can be found in the pages of Superman: Home Again.

Lee has occasionally taught at the famed Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, where he himself studied under Joe in the 1980s. He resides in Pennsylvania with his wife, Tish.

Rumor has it he knows a couple good card tricks.

The Definitive Collection of Barb Wire arrives in 2026

From series creator Chris Warner, Team Comics’ Greatest World, and Dark Horse Books comes the ultimate collection of Barb Wire comics: The Barb Wire Compendium. Arriving in stores February 2026, fans can revisit the classic series starting from the beginning in her first appearance in 1993’s Comics’ Greatest World in this new, comprehensive volume collecting every main line Barb Wire comic and a bounty of bonus material.

Bursting at the seams with a gang of the comic book industry’s greatest talent, this collection includes the work of writer/artist Chris Warner along with John Arcudi, Adam Hughes, Patrick Olliffe, Paul Gulacy, Tim Bradstreet, Dan Lawlis, Mike Manley, Adam Warren, Dave Dorman, Mike Mignola, Andrew Robinson, and more!

Steel Harbor is the American dream turned nightmare. This once great city was a monument to American industry and ingenuity; now, it’s a scrap heap of shuttered factories, decaying neighborhoods, and wasted potential being carved up and fought over by superpowered street gangs.

But where others see a warzone, Barb sees opportunity. When a bounty can punch through a wall, summon a tornado, or fly, they tend to have a big fat price on their head, which is just what Barb needs if she’s going to keep her money-pit hard rock bar from being shuttered. The trick is staying alive long enough to collect.

This collection features cover art by Hughes and contains Comics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 1: Barb WireComics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 2: The Machine, Comics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 3: Wolf GangComics’ Greatest World: Steel Harbor Week 4: MotorheadBarb Wire #1-9, San Diego Comic-Con Comics #3: Barb Wire: No FearBarb Wire: Ace of Spades #1-4, Barb Wire (Volume 2) #1-8, and, as a bonus, Chris Warner’s original character designs and redesigns for the series, and the movie adaptation comic Barb Wire Movie Special.

This is the biggest and baddest Barb has ever been! The Barb Wire Compendium 648-page (6.625×10.1875”) paperback will be available in bookstores on February 17, and comic shops on February 18, 2026, for $39.99. Pre-order now from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or your local bookstore or comic shop

Standstill #1 delivers a potentially fun and intriguing premise

Standstill #1

Meet Ryker Ruel, an enigmatic, lecherous, and clinically insane sociopath who has stolen a top-secret device that can freeze time! Now, as the bodies of world leaders pile up, famous works of art go missing, and other strange crimes dominate the headlines, only the device’s creator, a run-of-the-mill science geek, knows what’s happening and sets out to stop Ryker’s seemingly endless revenge tour. Standstill #1 kicks off an interesting debut that plays with the concept of freezing time.

Written by Lee Loughridge, Standstill #1 is an interesting debut of a series. The concept is rather simple, an individual steals a device that can freeze time and uses it in various ways. It’s a concept we’ve seen many times before, hell even an episode of The Simpsons featured it. But here, Loughridge delivers some mixed signals as to whether we should be cheering on our main rogue that is Ryker Ruel.

Ruel is described in the teaser as an “enigmatic, lecherous, and clinically insane sociopath,” but what Ruel does in the first issue makes us want to cheer him on. Bigoted bikers who have clearly done something wrong, a lecherous businessman, royalty, and more are the targets of Ruel’s ability. The device has been pilfered from the U.S. military, not exactly a group we could trust with such technology. So, who are we supposed to cheer for in the end? It’s a bit of a mixed message when it comes to that.

Still, Loughridge delivers Ryker’s acts with flair and a style that makes things interesting and entertaining. It’s all done in an extreme but at the same time doesn’t feel too extreme to distract. I fully expected a person to be thrown out of a plane as an example, and instead, the individual is humiliated in other ways.

Andrew Robinson‘s art delivers a style to it all that adds to the devious feel of Loughridge’s story. Ryker as a character is presented as a “cool” individual with an almost Bond like coldness about him. The only issue visually is the comic relies heavily on layouts over two pages and as I read it digitally, it’s not an optimal way to read the comic. Still, the comic visually looks solid and has a devilish playfulness about it when it comes to the art.

Standstill #1 is an entertaining start but it doesn’t really give us a reason as to why its main character should have the device taken away from him. Sure he’s causing some chaos, but it feels like justice against those that deserve it. It doesn’t make it’s case yet and if anything, readers come away cheering for what’s supposed to be the villain.
