Kabam is preparing for a hot ride this summer by making Waves! Their popular mobile fighter Marvel Contest of Champions is introducing all new Champions, Game Modes, New Player Bundle, and more.

SPLASH INTO THE CONTEST WITH HOT CHAMPIONS

The aquatic WAVE arrives alongside a newly improved Summoner’s Choice (fan-voted) re-work of GHOST RIDER, riding in to heat up the shores of The Battlerealm!Players can splash down and acquire Wave on May 28, while the Ghost Rider re-work will be unleashed on May 14.

With over 300 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other classic Marvel Super Heroes and villains such as Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Namor, and more.

WAVE

Pearl Pangan is a swift swimmer hailing from Cebu, Philippines. During an opportunity to use her talents in a study of swimmers, a raid on the facility led to discovering her power of hydrokinesis: the ability to manipulate water. With her newfound powers, she took up the mantle of hero as ‘Wave’, fighting alongside Triumph Division and Agents of Atlas.

GHOST RIDER (REWORK) 

Tricked by the demonic being Mephisto into selling his soul to save a loved one, stunt cyclist Johnny Blaze soon found himself bonded to the Spirit of Vengeance, a being of almost unlimited power from Hell itself. With the power to control Hellfire as well as his mystical Hell Cycle and Hell Chains, Ghost Rider has turned against Mephisto’s purpose and instead uses his newfound abilities to protect the innocent and cast judgment upon the wicked.

EVENT QUEST: In Hot Water [May 6–June 3]: Mephisto is invading Atlantis in search of hidden treasures, and his fiery foe Ghost Rider is on the scene to stop his fiendish plans. However, Namor would prefer aquatic assistance on the team. So Pearl Pangan, aka WAVE, has arrived on The Contest’s shores to help with this devilish dilemma. Will making waves extinguish the flames of evil?

Introducing a new permanent feature for players to chase horizontal roster growth with Class Collectives! Collectives are a group of Champions who all share an Attribute and are ranked up as a group. TOHO and Supercell Bring My Hero Academia to Brawl Stars for the Anime’s 10th Anniversary

Toho International has partnered with the Finland-based developer and mobile game publisher Supercell for the official My Hero Academia and Brawl Stars mobile game collaboration, now available for play through May 5th. The globally popular mobile game introduces players to new character-fave-inspired skins, fun challenges, and immersive in-game content, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the anime based on Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga.

As part of this crossover, the Brawl Stars collaboration calls players (and My Hero Academia fans) to join directly with the world of heroes through thrilling gameplay. Players can experience a lineup of special My Hero Academia-inspired character skins for Brawl Stars characters, including designs based on Izuku Midoriya (Deku), All Might, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, and Tomura Shigaraki. Each skin presents the spirits, powers, and personalities of the series’ heroes and main villain.

The new campaign also features a special live in-game challenge event, where players can earn exclusive rewards, including the Uravity: Janet skin, which will also be available for in-game purchase for players who were unable to clear the challenge. The multi-stage objective gives players three lives to complete objectives, with additional opportunities to continue and unlock rewards through progression or by purchasing more lives.

The launch arrives at an important moment for My Hero Academia, as the anime is currently celebrating a decade since the show’s original broadcast that introduced the popular motto “Go Beyond! Plus Ultra!” to the fandom. The event also marks a first for Brawl Stars, as the game partners with a Japanese anime IP for the first time in its history.

Players can participate in the limited-time My Hero Academia x Brawl Stars collaboration event by downloading the game on the App Store or Google Play.

New York City’s Mayor Zohran Mamdani is showing its politician’s unwillingness to act that has left so many Americans behind. In just a few months he’s launched numerous initiatives to better the city and attempt the make the lives of its residents better. He’s also savvy, simplifying issues in ways the average person can understand and relate.

Mamdani is attempting to get New Yorkers to donate to the Child Care Action Fund. It provides universal child care to everyone in the city who needs it. Its raised $3.5 million but needs $16.5 million to reach its goal, a drop in the bucket for the ultra-rich that call New York City home. While he’s talked about raising taxes on the ultra-wealthy, this one is being funded through just good old donations.

Mamdani took to explaining it all through Mario Kart in an April 16 press conference.

I like to think of it this way: government is driving the racecar, and philanthropy is there to give it that turbo boost across the finish line. Or, if you are a Mario Kart fan, government is Yoshi and philanthropy is the golden mushroom—that edge we need to beat Bowser on the Rainbow Road. To belabor this metaphor even further, Bowser is corporate greed in this scenario.

One of Mario Kart’s more fun mechanics is giving those behind in the race better items to help them compete while those ahead get less useful items.

LEGO’s Legacy of the Dark Knight Explores the Legendary Batcave

Warner Bros. Games has released a new LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight video, offering an in‑depth look at the Batcave – the legendary underground headquarters of DC’s Batman located beneath Wayne Manor, which has been delightfully reimagined in the upcoming videogame.

Narrated by Jonathan Smith, Strategic Director & Head of Development Team, TT Games, the video showcases how the Batcave serves as the central hub of operations, expanding and evolving as players progress through the campaign.

This subterranean hideout is where a wide range of collectible Batsuits can be stored and displayed – from the Golden Age suit inspired by the Caped Crusader’s debut look in the original Detective Comics #27 (1939) issue to the most recent suit featured in The Batman (2022) film, and everything in between. Overall, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has 100 different outfits for playable characters, including an array of suits for both Batman and his crime fighting allies.

The Batcave also functions as the ultimate garage for Batman’s iconic vehicles, housing an impressive lineup of Batmobiles and Batcycles, all faithfully recreated in LEGO brick form. This includes the over-the-top flair from the classic Batman TV series (1966–1968) car, complete with the signature red pinstriping; the gothic style Batmobile from Batman (1989); the skeletal design from Batman Forever (1995); the heavy-duty Tumbler from The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005, 2008, 2012); and many more.

Additionally, the Batcave is where players will upgrade gadgets, display trophies, review case files via the Batcomputer, and personalize the environment with a variety of LEGO‑themed furnishings – even a personal gym.

Marvel Future Fight Kicks Off 11th Anniversary Pre-Registration Alongside Marvel Rivals-Inspired Update

Netmarble kicks off the 11th Anniversary of its mobile action RPG MARVEL Future Fight with pre-registration, special events and a new update inspired by Marvel Rivals for players worldwide.

A range of in-game events are scheduled to mark the 11th Anniversary. Beginning April 22, Agents who log in during the event period will receive rewards including a Selector: Tier-4 Character, Uniform Ticket and 11 Million Gold. Additional anniversary events, such as the 1 Billion Crystals Sharing Event, Countdown Check-In, Hero Growth Support Event and Special Check-In featuring an exclusive 11th Anniversary Comic Card, will be introduced sequentially.

The 11th Anniversary pre-registration is currently available through a dedicated webpage. The site also features a special “11-Year Anniversary Character Test,” which categorizes players into 16 personality types and matches them with the MARVEL Future Fight hero that best suits their team. Players who share their results via social platforms will receive a coupon code on the results page, which can be redeemed for in-game rewards. In addition, a site-exclusive 11th Anniversary coupon code is available on the page, offering items including a Premium Character Chest x10 Ticket.

Alongside the 11th Anniversary celebration, a new update inspired by Marvel Rivals has been released. The latest update adds a new playable character, Jeff the Land Shark (MARVEL RIVALS), who can be advanced to Tier-3 and Tier-4, along with new Ultimate and Striker skills. New uniforms inspired by Marvel Rivals are also included for Captain America and Venom, while Luna Snow and Moon Knight uniforms will be revealed at a later date.

The update also expands progression and combat systems. Players can now equip up to two pieces of Custom Gear per character, while Tier-4 Striker Skill usage has been improved for more flexible team compositions. Potential Awakening progression has been streamlined, allowing participating heroes to fully acquire Potential points after a single World Boss clear. Furthermore, early-stage tutorials and growth support content have been further refined.

Originally launched in 2015, MARVEL Future Fight is a mobile action RPG that allows players to collect and upgrade iconic MARVEL Super Heroes and Villains. The game has surpassed 170 million downloads globally and continues to receive strong support from players around the world.

This spring season, Kabam is introducing new Champions, Side-Quests, and Coliseums to give you more chances to test your team and get rewards on their popular mobile fighter Marvel Contest of Champions.

SPRING INTO THE CONTEST WITH ALL-NEW SUPERVILLAINS

Genetic engineer Lester Verde AKA DOCTOR BONG is joining The Contest alongside the brilliant, megalomaniacal criminal RUBY THURSDAY!Players will have the opportunity to obtain Ruby Thursday on April 9 , while Doctor Bong can be obtained on April 23 or acquire Doctor Bong by completing objectives to receive milestone prizes during his 3-month long Double Track event beginning April 8.
