October 6, 2010 – Los Angeles, CA – Claudio Sanchez, creator and writer of THE AMORY WARS and KILL AUDIO, proudly debuts his latest book, KEY OF Z, at this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC) on October 13th through 16th at the Javits Center in New York, NY, where Sanchez serves as a special guest of the show.

With art by Aaron Kuder (THE AMORY WARS), writers Claudio Sanchez and Chondra Echert bring a deadly new vision of New York City in KEY OF Z. The zombie apocalypse has transformed the city into two separate battle-hardened fiefdoms. Nick Ewing is left to survive while seeking revenge on those responsible for the death of his family – the warring gangs residing in The Big Apple’s most illustrious athletic houses.  Ewing stumbles upon a sentimental artifact from his past that imbues him with surprising power. A Wave Blue World announces the release of their new graphic novel, American Terrorist, at the New York Comic Con this October 13-16 at Small Press table 2542.  Cover

American Terrorist is the story of average Americans who get fed up with the system and start their own revolution. It is a 214-page graphic novel written by Tyler & Wendy Chin-Tanner (Adrenaline) and drawn by Andy MacDonald (Punisher, Terminator)

The NYCC release will feature a limited run of the black and white edition. A full color version will be digitally released at the same time through online retailers such as Comics by Comixology. The color art was done by Matt Wilson (Wonder Woman, Wolverine) and Michael Wiggam (Star Wars).

A war has been waged against the American people. It’s a covert war, one that those in power hope will go unnoticed, but day by day, jobs, homes, pensions, healthcare coverage, quality of life, and civil liberties are taken away, while the gap between the haves and the have-nots grows wider and wider.

Comic Book Straw Poll: Decision 2012 Results

DECISION 2012 RESULTS: OBAMA, PALIN WIN PERRY IN LAST PLACE

October 6th, 2011 – Los Angeles, CA – BOOM! announces the results of DECISION 2012, the comic book industry’s first straw poll: Barack Obama has won, with the top Republican candidacy going to Sarah Palin and a shocking result for last place: Rick Perry!

“I’m really excited about collecting all these comics,” said Brett Schenker, Online Political Strategist who has worked for such political luminaries as John Kerry and Chris Dodd. “I wish this were around when I was working on Presidential campaigns, it’s a fun thing to support, but a great souvenir to remember the people I tried to get elected.”

The DECISION 2012 line of comics and comic book’s first straw poll isn’t just a contest, but also a great way for voters and students to educate themselves on the candidates running in the 2012 Presidential Election. This series of biographical comic books details the history and political lives of the candidates for the 2012 Presidential Election, giving non-partisan background on the candidates. Marvel is making digital comics history once more, and proudly announcing that Avenging Spider-Man #1, from the superstar creative team of Zeb Wells and Joe Madureira, will be polybagged with a code for a FREE digital copy of this issue on the Marvel Comics app. That’s right: for no additional charge to the retailers or consumers, Marvel is making sure that everyone who purchases the print version of Avenging Spider-Man #1 (any cover, including all variants) at their local comic shop can get a free digital copy of the issue on the Marvel Comics app .This is the first time that any major comic publisher has offered a free digital copy of a comic with the purchase of the physical copy without any additional cost. This digital copy of Avenging Spider-Man #1 will be accessible via both the Marvel Comics app and the Marvel Chrome store.
