Gambit Joins X-Men: Red

When Jean Grey leads her new team in the all-new series from Tom Taylor and Mahmud Asrar, she’ll be joined by a uniquely qualified strikeforce that includes heroes such as Namor, Nightcrawler, All-New Wolverine, her sister Gabby (Honey Badger), the Wakanda mutant Gentle, and a mysterious new character named Trinary.

And now, one more hero will join the fight.

Marvel is excited to reveal the cover to X-Men: Red #3 featuring fan-favorite Gambit, who will team up with Jean to help battle against mankind and mutantkind’s most dangerous evil!

The adventure begins this February, and Gambit officially joins X-Men: Red this April! The issue features a cover by Travis Charest.

Comedian and performer Andy Kaufman’s resume was impressive—a popular role on the beloved sitcom Taxi, a high-profile stand-up career, and a surprisingly successful stint in professional wrestling.

Although he was by all accounts a sensitive and thoughtful person, he’s ironically best remembered for his various contemptible personas, which were so committed and so convincing that all but his closest family and friends were completely taken in.

Why would someone so gentle-natured and sensitive build an entire career seeking the hatred of his audience? What drives a performer to solicit that reaction? With the same nuance and sympathy with which he approached Andre the Giant in his 2014 biography, graphic novelist Box Brown takes on the complex and often hilarious life of Andy Kaufman in Is This Guy For Real?.

Calexit Returns in February With a Third Issue in March

2018 will also see the return of Calexit, the series by Matteo Pizzolo and artist Amancay Nahuelpan. Following a hiatus, Calexit returns on February 14 with the release of the much anticipated second issue as well as a new, third printing of the debut issue which features a cover by Ashley A. Woods.

In Calexit, the citizens of California struggle to seize power back from an autocratic government after a fascistic President takes over the United States. “From its history as a breakaway state with the Bear Flag Revolt to becoming the home of rebel fiction like Star Wars and NWA, California has represented the spirit of resistance for almost two hundred years. The first arc of Calexit tells the tale of a U.S. President going to war against the Golden State, and, with California being the fifth largest economy on Earth, things escalate pretty quick.
