Witches of Brooklyn Vol. 4: Spell of a Time hits familiar beats but is really fun and entertaining
School is back in session, which means new friends, new lessons, and, of course, new magic! But every time Effie thinks she finally has this magic life down, something new pops up. Like the fact that she can listen and talk to animals. Or that, on a school trip to Coney Island, she overhears a flock of seagulls discussing a missing…mermaid?! And on top of all that, Effie is still trying to figure out if her powers make her a good witch or a bad witch…and what that means for her future.
But regardless of what kind of witch she is, Effie knows what she needs to do. With the help of her friend Garance, some talkative seagulls, and a rather helpful turtle, Effie is determined to make a splash to find this mermaid!
