Effie is excited to be part of the community of witches protecting Brooklyn. But suddenly, life seems completely different. No longer the newest kid in school, Effie feels as if her friends are happy to grow their little group—although Effie herself isn’t so sure of the new girl in school. On top of that, disasters keep happening at a nearby intersection, where two mysterious statues stare at each other from across the block. And not for nothing, but learning magic is hard work!
