Curt Pires Expands His Creature-Battling Mythology with World of Creature Corps Anthology Stories

Writer Curt Pires will expand the mythology of his upcoming Image Comics series, Creature Corps, with a line of additional back-up stories written and drawn by the industry’s ascendant talent, included for free in each giant-sized issue. Illustrated by Jok, the main Creature Corps series features a world where survivalist, fantastical beasts from a broken future slip into the present, pitted against each other for vicious sport. Starting with the first issue debuting on December 2, 2026, The World of Creature Corps will expand the dystopian creature-battling world of the core title with these new mini-chapters included in each issue at no additional cost.

Writer Timmy Heague and artist Stefan Tosheff present the first story arc, revolving around a rehabilitation center for former trainers that paints a harrowing portrait of their former careers. Franklin Jonas and Drew Rende will follow with a psychedelic tale of cosmic horror. Future installments will feature writing by Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre breakout Fred Kennedy, newcomer Juanse Eslava, and more creators to be announced at a later date.
