Mirka Andolfo’s Long-Awaited Follow-Up to Mercy, the upcoming Merciless, Launches this December

Acclaimed creator Mirka Andolfo returns to the coaldust-choked Victorian atmosphere of her international hit Mercy—this time with fan-favorite collaborator and artist Lidia Bolognini—to bring fans an all-new Gothic tale in the upcoming Merciless. This four issue miniseries is set to launch in December from Image Comics.

Fifteen years after having rid itself of the terrible Devil of Woodsburgh, the thriving former mining town has finally begun to let out a long-held breath… That is, until an enigmatic new Lady comes to town.

Rory has finally come of age and is ready to open her factory. But her arrival coincides with the uncanny: a strange new drug called Electric Sumac is coursing through the streets, leaving ordinary men and women unnaturally strong… and dangerously unhinged. Rory, and her companion Joel, are determined to stamp it out… whatever the cost. For they know something the rest of the city does not: the drug’s mysterious origins are anything but earthly.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Bancroft has returned to settle the unfinished business his father left in his wake. As old debts resurface and a web of secrets unravels… will Rory find herself caught in the middle of it all? 

Merciless #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, December 2.
