Superstar artist and longtime gearhead Sean Gordon Murphy will get behind the wheel to write and draw the highly anticipated series, The Last Driver. This all-new, landscape format, ongoing series will hit the gas in August and be published by Image Comics.

This pedal-to-the-metal, action-packed launch will also feature engine-revving variant covers by such top gear artists as Corin Howell, Matteo Scalera, and Ryan Ottley, as well as additional variants by Murphy himself and a blank sketch variant.

As technology in America advanced, cities began creating the GRID: a robotic transportation system that not only made cars obsolete, it made them illegal. But an outlaw named “Clutch” has no choice but to get behind the wheel one more time. What starts out as a race to save his granddaughter’s life quickly turns into a rebellion against technology, fascism, and the future of a divided America.

The Last Driver #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, August 19.
