You knew you had bought a Rob Liefeld’s comic book, didn’t you?
Thought I could make it through the first arc… I lasted three issues.
Spawn, King Spawn and Sam and Twitch are much better. Are your reading them?
I used to read all of those but stopped many years ago. I tried picking them up again with the recent Spawn Universe and honestly have no idea what the hell was going on. I’ve been debating going back and reading a long running line from the beginning and been debating Spawn, G.I. JOE, Savage Dragon, or Transformers.
If you read it from issue # 1, you can understand the plot of King Spawn quite easily, in my opinion. Issue # 51 could be another good jumping on point (I loved that issue).
As for your project of reading Spawn from the very first issue, that’s a great idea: the first 100 issues are simply fantastic. Issues # 39, # 59 and # 88 are among my favorite comic books of all time (and I’ve been reading thousands of them for 30 years). Thank you for your reply! :)
I forgot where I stopped with Spawn, definitely less than issue #100, maybe less than #50? I’d have to dig and find my copies to see.
