SDCC 2025: DC reveals the K.O. Bracket as well as Knightfight tie-in series
DC brought the news to San Diego Comic-Con 2025 as it celebrated 90 years and started its march towards 100 and revealed more details about their upcoming event, DC K.O. Announced earlier in July, in DC K.O. the gloves come off as the greatest superheroes in the universe enter the arena in a thunderous tournament where the stakes are sky-high, and the cost of victory may be too steep to bear. Starting in October, this publishing event puts heroes to the ultimate test of strength, loyalty, and knock-down, drag-out brawls. Which 36 fighters will enter the tournament of champions? Who will rise through the brackets and rival Darkseid against his ever-growing Omega powers? And what sinister secret lies at the absolute heart of Apokolips?
During its panel, the publisher highlighted the fall crossover with event co-architects Joshua Williamson and Scott Snyder revealing several heroes that will make it onto the 32-character arena fight bracket. While it was no surprise that the Amazonian warrior Wonder Woman made it to the first round, fans were thrilled to see wild cards Lobo, Swamp Thing, and Green Lantern Guy Gardner appear on the bracket along with Supergirl, Red Hood, Zatanna, Aquaman, Captain Atom, and Cyborg. Who will win the Heart of Apokolips and channel enough Omega Energy to take on Darkseid? Will Superman’s miniature sun-knuckles help the hero land a spot on the bracket and carry him through to future rounds? Fans will need to wait until October to find out!
DC also announced DC K.O. tie-in series Knightfight by Joshua Williamson and Dan Mora.
