The joy of nature and curiosity are explored in Jackson’s Wilder Adventures from Sarah Davidson and Papercutz
In the brand new Papercutz series Jackson’s Wilder Adventures, Jackson Wilder and his best friend Irwin the Thylacine explore nature to learn about wild animals who share similar hindrances and experiences to Jackson, which helps him put his own life problems into perspective.
Join Jackson Wilder as he navigates the typical challenges of childhood – resisting bedtime, dodging mysterious leftovers, and more. With his friend Irwin the Thylacine and their magical cardboard Teleporter, Jackson’s love of animals and wildlife takes a wild turn. Through their adventures, Jackson discovers that even wild animals face challenges of their own.
This new, educational series is inspired by the endless curiosity and love of learning Sarah Davidson saw in her real-life nephew Jackson. It is meant to solve what she saw as a problem with the books in his reading range: they all seemed to be either picture or list-based books. She wanted to emulate the “Science Comics” of her youth. Sarah has also worked alongside renowned wildlife ecologist Kelly Zimmerman of the Bugs Need Heroes podcast, and their shared passion for wildlife electrifies this narrative.
Jackson’s Wilder Adventures Vol. 1 [9781545813003; Hardcover & Trade Paperback; 88pp; $12.99/$7.99; Ages 6-10] is on-sale on July 2, 2024. It is available wherever books are sold, including Amazon, Bookshop, and Barnes & Noble.
