Soaring Penguin Press Brings on Tim Pilcher and Opens a Canadian Office
Soaring Penguin Press has made an offer to Eisner nominated writer and editor Tim Pilcher to join John Anderson as co-owner of the publishing house, which has been accepted.
Pilcher, whose previous positions have included Assistant Editor at Vertigo Comics, Commissioning Editor at Ilex Press, and Humanoids’ UK Liaison, will begin effective immediately. His remit will be to provide marketing services as well as source appropriate material for future publications.
Pilcher sees us living in a “new Golden Age of graphic novel diversity” with Soaring Penguin being at the forefront of this new wave.
In October, Anderson will be moving to Vancouver, Canada to open the North American office of the publishing company. With the publisher having published a number of Canadian and American creators it made sense to have a closer presence to them.
