Haunted by a past they no longer recognize, Dick Grayson and Roy Harper hunt for the truth. Somehow, somewhere, there must be someone who can explain the memories that obsess them but don’t belong to them.  Their search has unleashed the rage of Atlantis, but that’s nothing compared to the fury of the Amazonian outcast waiting for them in the shadows.

I haven’t been too kind on Titans Hunt so far. The first two issues haven’t caught my interest, but I keep reading it because I really do enjoy writer Dan Abnett and I’m hoping to see more of what I enjoy about his work.

Three issues in and the series is slowly bringing me around. Slowly is the key word there. Mostly, this issue is a lot of fighting as the usual trope of heroes battling each other before becoming allies is used… a lot.

What I am enjoying more in this issue is folks realizing they know each other. The way they interact, and confusion they portray comes off the page as feeling very realistic. Those types of moments are winning me over. Also, the mystery that’s built up over the first two issues are finely starting to roll out and lead to something. I’m not sure the payoff is there yet, but things are starting to get interesting at least.

The art is better in this issue too. The battle sequences are entertaining and the emotion shown by the characters are solid. Artist Paulo Siqueira is growing on me and it feels like with each issue there’s a better grasp on the characters and more confidence in the art.

The series isn’t quite there for me yet, and so far it feels like it’d be better read as a trade than individual issues, but things are getting better. I think the next issue will be key to see if this is a series I keep reading, or one I completely give up on.
