Doctor Who Comics Get a Humble Bundle to Support Doctors Without Borders

Doctor-Who-3-1Humble Bundle has a new offer up where you can get awesome comics, and support a worthy charity. This time it’s Doctor Who comics courtesy of IDW Publishing. This new bundle comes hot on the heals of the successful Image Comics offering that raised closd to $400,000.

For those unfamiliar with Humble Bundle, customers name their price, splitting the proceeds as they choose between various possibilities, usually including Humble Bundle, the publisher participating, and a charity. This offering will benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and Medecins Sans Frontieres aka Doctors Without Borders. That means customers could give all the money to the CBLDF, Doctors Without Borders, to IDW, or to Humble Bundle, or split it any way they choose. Usually, for those giving a higher than average amount, they also unlock more items.

Customers can name their price for Doctor Who: Series 1, a three-volume series following the 10th Doctor (David Tennant), and Doctor Who: Series 2, a four-volume series featuring the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith). Each series contains 16 issues of Doctor Who comics. Also included is the critically praised mobile game, Doctor Who: Legacy for Android, which comes with 10 pre-unlocked Doctor characters.

If customers pay more than the average price, they will also receive four more volumes from Doctor Who: Series 3 featuring the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith). Paying $15 or more will unlock the three-volume series Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time, which features all 11 of the Doctors’  incarnations, as well as the 50th anniversary celebration issue and 2014 Hugo Award-nominee, The Girl Who Loved Doctor Who.

All together that’s over 60 issues, plus the game!

The Humble Doctor Who Comics Bundle ends on Tuesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. PDT.

Not only will you get a great deal, but the comics are DRM free, allowing you to read them on any device you choose.
