Marvel has revealed some concept art for their announced Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Looks like most of the key players are there including Groot (a giant tree who only says “Groot”), Rocket Racoon (a racoon who loves guns and happens to be a brilliant strategist), Drax (killing machine), Gamora (the sexy assassin), and Starlord (the leader and very much a “Han Solo” type character).

The comic series was brilliant and I can’t recommend it enough. There’s a sale on the books for $0.99 a piece at comiXology going on today only. I might be more excited for this movie than how I was for the Avengers.

The movie has been announced to come out August 1, 2014.
