Congrats to the folks at comiXology who this Wednesday have been the top grossing iPad app seven weeks in a row.  Lets put that in perspective.  The second highest grossing app for the day was Pages a $9.99 app.  So, for comiXology to be number one, folks would have to download their FREE app, then make over $10 in purchases.  To quote the Vice President, that’s a Big Fucking Deal.

This is on the heals of an uptick in sales as a whole for the entire comic book industry showing that not only can digital and print live together in peace and harmony, they can both grow.
