Banned Books Week
Each year in the last week of September, the American Library Association and other organizations join together to sponsor Banned Books Week. This is an annual celebration of intellectual freedom and the importance of the First Amendment. Banned Books Week highlights the benefits of free and open access to information while drawing attention to the harms of censorship by spotlighting attempted bannings of books across America.
