Four years ago, a five-issue miniseries focused on the Sky-Rider of the Spaceways came out from Marvel, Silver Surfer: Black. Written by Donny Cates and illustrated by Tradd Moore, the comic was a trippy take on the classic character. Like any classic, great Surfer story, it delivers powerful meditations on grief and identity while simultaneously pummeling you with giant, otherworldly cosmic greatness.
Tradd Moore is one of comics’ best storytellers, and his work on Silver Surfer: Black is among his all-time best. We’re really excited to team up with Tradd and colorist Felipe Sobreiro to release a screenprint of their gorgeous art for the cover of issue 3.
Following up on his poster for the first film, Mondo has another masterpiece by Johnny Dombrowski for Strange’s new solo outing, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film has Sam Raimi’s fingerprints all over it (in the best way), and it’s awesome to see Johnny summon that spirit and inject a nice dose of horror and the supernatural into Strange’s world.

Tradd Moore introduces to a strange new world in Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise #1, a debut issue that highlights Moore’s artistic talents.
It’s hard to describe Tradd Moore’s art style. I originally discovered his talent with the Luthor Strode series from Image and from there it was All-New Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer: Black. Moore’s style is unique and stands out with a pop sense about it that is hard to find in the current comic market. Moore mixes classic Jack Kirby with black light tripiness for a visual treat.
Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise #1 is a fine example of where Moore’s strengths lie. Strange has awakened in a strange land unsure of where he is and what he’s to do. Like diving into an open world video game, he wanders attempting to put the pieces of the puzzle together. What’s going? Honestly, I can’t say beyond a magical world that feels like I should be dropping acid in. Weird ghost like creatures, more down to earth animals, and a likely enemy that’s ominous and mysterious all are introduced.
The story itself is an interesting one with a dreamlike style. There’s a poetic flow to it at times reminding me of Poe during moments that feel like madness sinking in.
Moore’s art is the highlight here with visuals that will have you lingering on the page long after you have finished the words. It’s a beautiful and beyond unique look that stands out from the rest of the comics on the shelves. If you’re a fan of pop art, beautiful comic art, or what makes comics unique, this is one to definitely check out.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur’s highly-anticipated new solo series will arrive in December! Written by Jordan Ifueko and drawn by Alba Glez, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #1 will begin a brand-new era for the breakout young hero as the smartest person in the Marvel Universe also takes her place as one of its greatest heroes! The cover for the first issue is by Ken Lashley and the comic comes to shelves in December.

Debuting exclusively at Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, the first collaboration between BAIT and BOOM! Studios features all-new BRZRKR artwork by revolutionary comics artist Tradd Moore, who instantly became one of the industry’s most recognizable and sought-after talents with his comics debut, Image Comics’ The Strange Talent of Luther Strode, in 2011 before going on to deliver critically acclaimed runs on Marvel’s Silver Surfer: Black, All-New Ghost Rider, and more over the ensuing decade.
In tandem with the capsule collection, BAIT will also debut its first comic book exclusive of all time with two, highly limited BRZRKR #1 x BAIT variant covers featuring Moore’s new artwork. These SDCC-exclusive printings of BRZKR #1 will feature both color (limited to 1000) and B&W (limited to 600) variations of Moore’s artwork and will be made available individually or as a set at the BAIT booth (#4145).

James Harren’s highly anticipated Ultramega is getting two new variant covers for issue #1. The upcoming kaiju action series will slam into stores with a 60-page debut, now with additional black and white covers from Tradd Moore and Harren himself.
In addition to announcing the new covers, Image Comics and Skybound have unveiled the previously announced Tradd Moore color variant.
