Marvel reveals DNX #1 Covers including True Believers Blind Bag Exclusives

EVOLUTION IS CONTAGIOUS! Announced earlier this month, DNX, a five-issue event series from Jed MacKay and Federico Vicentini, launches this September. MacKay’s acclaimed X-Men run on X-Men, including the recent Age of Revelation crossover, has led to this monumental saga that sees the X-Men and Fantastic Four join forces to prevent the Chairman, the misguided original Hank McCoy, from unleashing a virus that forcibly—and horribly—transforms humanity into mutants! Adding even more excitement to this latest mutant milestone, DNX #1 will be the next Marvel Comics launch available in True Believers Blind Bags, special sealed bags that contain exclusive variant covers not available for regular ordering, including rare, one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn sketch covers from surprise contributors. Today, fans can check out all-new variant covers for DNX #1, both regular open-to-order covers and blind bag exclusives.

Covers revealed today include the latest piece by best-selling cover artist Artgerm, spotlighting TEMPER, the fiery young X-Man and one of the breakout stars of MacKay’s run. Artgerm’s cover will also be available as virgin variant cover. Both versions will be True Believers Blind Bag exclusives. Other variants revealed include a Hidden Gem Cover by the legendary Jim Lee; a terrifying vision of Magik by InHyuk Lee, also available as virgin variant cover; and an epic Blind Bag exclusive cover by Ken Lashley.

Queen in Black, an upcoming crossover event spinning directly out of Al Ewing and Carlos Gómez’s run of Venom as well as the new Knull limited series by Ewing, Tom Waltz, Juanan Ramirez, kicks off this July. The event will be told across a main five-issue series by Ewing and Iban Coello along with key tie-in limited series and issues. Fans can see the cover of Queen in Black #2, arriving on July 29, and learn about the recently announced tie-ins.

Spinning out of Ewing’s current run of Venom, key players include Mary Jane, the current host of Venom, as well as Eddie Brock, who was recently bonded to the Carnage symbiote. Following the recent announcements of Queen in Black: Defenders of Light and Dark, Queen in Black: Hela and Queen in Black: Thor, Marvel reveals Queen in Black: Venom Unchained, a three-issue tie-in series that follows Eddie Brock’s quest from prison to the frontlines of the fight against Hela and Knull. This essential saga will be written by Charles Soule, who wrote Eddie’s twisted time as Carnage in Eddie Brock: Carnage, and drawn by Juanan Ramírez, following his work on the current Knull limited series, a key lead-in chapter to the event.

This week in Venom #256 by Al Ewing and Carlos Gomez, part of the Amazing Spider-Man/Venom “Death Spiral” crossover, Carnage discarded Eddie Brock for a better match—TORMENT!
