Get a first look at Franklin Jonas and Curt Pires’ Lost Fantasy spin-off Fireborn

Lost Fantasy fans can sneak a peek at early pages from co-creators Curt Pires, singer/songwriter Franklin Jonas, and rising star artist Patrick Mulholland’s upcoming series launch Fireborn. This new tale will be set in the same world of the beloved Lost Fantasy series and will hit shelves next month from Image Comics.

Fireborn follows Aaron Hillburg who is just another rich-kid failson ghosting his responsibilities, hopping rooftops, and hating his billionaire father in peace… until a mysterious floating dragon egg bonds to him and ignites a hidden lineage of ancient magic inside his body.

Now every violent outlaw wizard, biker cultist, and supernatural warlord between New York City and The World Beneath is hunting him—and they’ll burn the world down to pry the egg from his corpse.

Fireborn #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, April 15.

M1: Monster Racing League from Jae Lee, Robert Windom, Lily Windom, and June Chung hits the streets, and shelves, this June

Co-writers Robert Windom and Lily Windom, Eisner Award winning artist Jae Lee, and colorist June Chung will kick comics into high gear with the upcoming ongoing series M1: Monster Racing League. This high-octane launch will start its engines in June from Image Comics.

This launch will include an eye-popping variant cover by Jon J Muth and additional, highly collectible covers by Lee.

Emmy Award winning writer and producer Jeffrey M. Howard is also developing an animated version of the series.

When 17-year-old Dev moves to Japan, she stumbles into an underground world of illegal street racing, where speed is power and mutation wins championships. This high-octane sci-fi drama, set in a near-future Tokyo, is Fast & Furious by way of KPop Demon Hunters, Arcane, and Akira.

This project marks the second project that the Windoms have written together after the graphic novel Family Time, which Lily co-wrote with her father at just eleven-years-old.

This also will be the first time that award-winning creator Jae Lee has been an interior artist on an ongoing monthly comic book series since the ’90s. Husband-wife duo Lee and Chung are known for their popular comic covers and interior art collaborations on titles such as This Ends Tonight and Batman/Superman.

Outside of comic writing, Robert Windom is known for executive producing the documentary Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection, for which he won a Film Threat award. The critically acclaimed film was directed by Kelvin Mao; Windom, Lee, and Chung also co-created the Image Comics limited series This Ends Tonight and Seven Sons with Mao.

M1: Monster Racing League #1 will also feature a variant cover illustrated by Caldecott Honoree Jon J Muth, who is known for creating children’s books such as Zen Ties and illustrating graphic novels such as Grant Morrison’s The Mystery Play, for which he won the Eisner Award in the “Best Painter” category.

M1: Monster Racing League #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 10.

THERE’S A NEW KIND OF FEELING IN CHRISTMAS TOWN! With Oogie Boogie’s aggrieved ghouls hot on their tails, the mischievous trio of Lock, Stock, Barrel, along with Shiver, have arrived in Christmas Town to share their vast trick-or-treating knowledge with its inexperienced inhabitants. While the rosy-cheeked residents have got the basics down, their efforts at embodying the Halloween spirit definitely need some more bite. Luckily, Halloween Town’s pint-sized ambassadors have come prepared. In fact, they’re probably over-prepared — something that becomes painfully clear when Barrel unleashes the tricks that they’ve curated for this historic occasion. But as impressive as their efforts are, the scariest thing by far is the effect that the ghouls’ breakfast is having on Shiver! TORUNN GRØNBEKK and EDU MENNA’s jam-packed sleigh of a story begins to pick up speed in Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Shiver of Christmas Town #3 — all wrapped in festive covers from JAE LEE & JUNE CHUNG, SOO LEE, and ALAN QUAH, as well as a special selection from the Disney Library!

It’s Ancient Norse Beings vs. Neo Nazi Punks in Odin by James Tynion IV, Marguerite Bennett, and Letizia Cadonici

Writer James Tynion IV is teaming up with co-writer Marguerite Bennett, rising star artist Letizia Cadonici, colorist Jordie Bellaire, high-flying letterer Tom Napolitano, designer Dylan Todd, and editor Steve Foxe for an all-new horror tale in the upcoming Odin. This nine-issue miniseries promises to go light on the honeyed mead, but will tip a heavy pour of Nordic nightmare fuel when it hits shelves in May from Image Comics and Tiny Onion.

Odin will be stunningly presented with covers by celebrated comic and album artist Alex Eckman-Lawn, who is illustrating the main Cover A for the full series. For the debut issue, Cadonici illustrated Cover B with additional variants by lauded artists Christian Ward, Martin Simmonds, and Jae Lee.

Odin follows Adela, a thrill-seeking journalist who goes undercover to report on a band of Neo Nazis. She will do anything for the perfect story, including heading into the frozen forests of Norway with Neo Nazi punks who seek Odin to achieve their promised white supremacist destiny. But what awaits them in the woods is far older and stranger than any of them can comprehend, and no gods are coming to answer their prayers. Green Room meets Midsommar with a touch of The Ritual in this relentless hallucinogenic thriller that leaves absolutely no taboo unbroken.
