When Spider-Man and Kid Arachnid discover that shards from the broken Siege Perilous are causing universes to slam into one another, they must travel to alternate dimensions in order to gather the shards in the all-new Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man Vs. The Sinister Six airing Saturday, August 27 at 8:00pm/7:00c on Disney XD.

The episode will feature Christopher Daniel Barnes as the voice of Wolf Spider and Ben Diskin as the voice of Blood Spider.

Big Hero 6 Coming to Disney XD in 2017

big hero 6Disney has announced that Big Hero 6 will be coming to Disney XD in 2017. The television show is based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios animated film as well as the Marvel comics of the same name.

Emmy Award-winning producers Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley, creators and executive producers of the global hit Disney Channel series Kim Possible, are the executive producers. Reuniting with McCorkle and Schooley on the creative team is their Kim Possible colleague, Emmy Award-winning Nick Filippi, who serves as executive producer and supervising director.

Produced by Disney Television Animation, the series picks up immediately following the events in the feature film, and continues the adventures and friendship of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro and his compassionate, cutting-edge robot Baymax. Alongside Hiro and Baymax on their journey are control freak Wasabi, scientist Honey Lemon, fanboy Fred and no-nonsense Go Go, who together form the legendary superhero team, Big Hero 6. As the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Hiro now faces daunting academic challenges and the social trials of being the little man on campus. Off campus, the stakes are raised for the high-tech heroes as they must protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains.

Big Hero 6 was released in October 2014 and became the biggest animated film of the year with over $657 million worldwide. In addition to being named Best Animated Picture by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, it was nominated for Golden Globe, Critics Choice and BAFTA awards, and was the recipient of five Visual Effects Society Awards, the most ever for an animated feature, as well as a Cinema Audio Society Award and a Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Animated Movie.

Doctor Who Seasons Two through Four Come to Disney XD

New-Doctor-Who-Logo-doctor-who-8521729-550-465Well this was unexpected. It has been announced that the BBC‘s Doctor Who will be coming to Disney XD beginning Saturday, May 9 at 9pm ET. Seasons two through four will be shown on the channel beginning with season two, episode one New Earth.
In New Earth, the Doctor and Rose board the TARDIS for new adventures in time and space. But when they visit mankind’s new home, far in the future, they find gruesome secrets hidden inside a luxury hospital. And an enemy thought long since dead, the paper-thin Cassandra, is out for revenge.

Season two will continue to rollout on Disney XD beginning Saturday, June 13. The special week-long programming event will give fans eight episodes, airing daily Saturday, June 13 through Saturday, June 20. Beginning June 14, episodes will also be available on the WATCH Disney XD app, which allows folks to watch on tablets, phones, computers and connected TVs.

LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales Comes to Disney XD. Retells Star Wars from the Droid Perspective.

lego c-3po r2d2The LEGO Group has announced that Disney XD has acquired LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales for airing later this year. The animated content series consists of five 22-minute episodes that re-tell the Star Wars saga in chronological order from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace up through Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Disney XD is also currently home to the animated hit series Star Wars Rebels.

As its title suggests, Droid Tales is a re-telling of the Star Wars universe LEGO_logothrough the eyes of C-3P0 and R2-D2. Following their victory celebration in the Ewok village on Endor, seen at the close of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, C-3PO and R2-D2 have gathered to regale Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the other Rebels with the tales of their adventures that led to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing and suddenly viewers are taken on a new adventure that leads to encounters with familiar faces and places that prompt the re-telling of the entire saga. The series offers all of the playful humor that viewers expect from LEGO Star Wars.

Information on airdates for each episode is not yet available. Additional LEGO Star Wars activities to get the family caught up will launch throughout the year.
