David Aja delivers Pulp Variant Covers for Universal Monsters: The Invisible Man

Skybound Entertainment, Image Comics, and Universal Products & Experiences have revealed superstar artist David Aja’s themed variant cover series for Universal Monsters: The Invisible Man, a new four-issue limited comic book series from Eisner Award-winning, bestselling writer James Tynion IV, acclaimed artist DANI, and colorist Brad Simpson. Unraveling the horrific origins of the iconic monster in an all-new story, this haunting take on The Invisible Man will arrive in comic book shops beginning on August 27, 2025. 

Each cover in the “pulp” variant cover series by artist David Aja is a tribute to the seminal Universal Pictures film that inspires the comic, reimagined through Aja’s signature style in noir perfection. This exclusive themed set will appear as the Cover C 1:10 incentive variant for all four issues of the limited series. 

Jack Griffin has always been invisible to the people around him—at least in his own mind. But when an experimental breakthrough presents a path to make his dreams of invisibility a reality, no one—not even the woman he loves—will stand in his way.

Mattel and Dark Horse announce Masters of the Universe: The Sword of Flaws

Mattel and Dark Horse Comics have unveiled Masters of the Universe: The Sword of Flaws,a new four-issue miniseries firmly rooted in the classic universe continuity of Masters of the Universe. The series will begin Wednesday, September 24, 2025 with Issue #1 now available to pre-order from participating local comic shops for $4.99.

The new series is written by New York Times bestselling writer Tim Seeley, illustrated by Eisner Award-winning artist Freddie E. Williams II, colored by Andrew Dalhouse, and lettered by AndWorld Design. Issue #1 will feature cover art by Williams and a variant by Tim Seeley with Brad Simpson.
