Fresh from the brand new Heroes Reborn TV show, the Heroes comic will delve into the secrets of the characters. Each five-part story arc will spotlight a different character, exploring secrets behind what makes them tick.
The first prequel/tie-in to Heroes Reborn, Heroes: Vengeance talks about the origins of the original El Vengador, and why he choose to take up the mask, so to speak. While he is mentioned in the show, the original doesn’t get much screen time. However, the comic, written by Seamus Fahay and Zach Craley, does a great job of filling in the gap, and the origins of the masked vigilante.
The artwork by Rubine defiantly has an authentic, grittiness of what you would expect of a downtown Los Angeles. While the action scenes are dark, violent (for the must part), and filled with action. It continues mostly with the dark theme in the scenes when he is in a mask as his wrestler persona. While he is not in the mask, the colors are brighter, and more vibrant. That simple contrast makes it easy to distinguish the man, from the mask.
