The Unreleased Justice League Brawler Game

Footage from the unreleased Xbox 360 video game Green Lantern: A Justice League Game by Double Helix has hit the web. The game was sandwiched between two other brawler games featuring DC Comic characters, Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe and Injustice: Gods Among Us, which might be why it never saw release.

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare gets EVEN MORE hilarious with Free Downloadable Content in Garden Variety Pack

The critically-acclaimed shooter Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare brings even more bizarre fun with the new 8v8 “Gnome Bomb” gameplay mode, the option to customize your load out with 24 new ability upgrades and an all-new map, Chomp Town in the downloadable Garden Variety Pack (DLC) available for free starting March 18 on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare launched in February.

The Garden Variety Pack features 24 new ability upgrades, three for each class including Sunflower’s Solar Flare Beam, Chomper’s Super Goop which cements zombies in place and the All-Star Zombie’s Ultra Tackle. These upgrades give players even more load out options for battle in the fun-dead field. The Garden Variety Pack also introduces the explosive Gnome Bomb mode that challenges plants and zombies to work together to destroy each other’s reinforced garden or graveyard. Players can explore a new funtastic map, and encounter a band of fresh Pirate Zombies, such as the Map Pirate Zombie who shields himself with a treasure map, in Sharkbite Shores and Port Scallywag.

Mad Max the Video Game Announced!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced Mad Max, a new open world, third-person action game where players become Mad Max, a lone warrior in a savage post-apocalyptic world where cars are the key to survival. The game will debut for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, the Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

Scheduled for release in 2014, Mad Max will deliver dynamic, open-world gameplay where gamers fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using brutal on-ground and vehicular combat against vicious gangs of bandits. Players are challenged with treacherous missions as they scavenge the dangerous landscape for supplies to build the ultimate combat vehicle.

Mad Max is under development by Avalanche Studios.

VIZ Media Launches Neon Alley Anime Channel on Xbox 360

NeonAlley-LogoMain-IluminatedVIZ Media has generated even more excitement for its new Neon Alley 24/7 anime platform as it announces the expansion of its proprietary content delivery service to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Neon Alley is VIZ Media’s new 24-hour, subscription-based anime channel featuring the world’s best titles (dubbed in English and uncut) and presented in HD (when available) for a low monthly subscription rate of only $6.99. Starting today, Neon Alley can be downloaded directly from the Xbox LIVE marketplace for Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers.

Voice control and voice search via Kinect for Xbox 360 allows for all new ways to interact with Neon Alley content. For a limited time only, the game console based-service is offering a one-week free trial available to all fans who sign up at NeonAlley.com.

Neon Alley’s schedule includes a diverse mix of action, adventure, sci-fi, supernatural, fantasy, and horror anime. Neon Alley carries weekly exclusive episodes of Blue Exorcist, Inuyasga: The Final Act, Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-Ne, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, and Tiger & Bunny. The Walking Dead: The Game Hits Shelves December 4th

The Walking Dead: The Game hits shelves December 4th and includes all five episodes of the video game that’s been released for digital download. There’ll be two editions, a regular version of just the came and a exclusive GameStop collector’s edition available only to customers who pre-order for $69.99. The collector’s edition includes:

  • Extremely Limited for Pre-Order ONLY, MSRP $69.99 USD
  • The Walking Dead Compendium One featuring exclusive Charlie Adlard cover art. Over 1,000 pages collecting the first 48 issues of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series. (Standard edition of the first compendium without special edition artwork valued at an MSRP of $59.99 USD. This Collector’s Edition of the Compendium will not be sold separately.)
  • Collector’s Edition box with Charlie Adlard artwork
  • Game disc containing the entire first season including Episodes 1 through 5

The Collector’s Edition will be “extremely limited” and is for pre-orders only, and that the version of the Compendium included in the box will not be sold outside of this set. Separately, a standard edition of The Walking Dead: The Game will hit stores on December 4th for $29.99. Both editions will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
