Vampirella Holidays in Barcelona This Winter!

The Daughter of Drakulon, like every other hard-working professional, is sometimes due a break. When Vampirella tries to enjoy a winter holiday, of course she can’t catch a break! The Vampirella Helliday Special for 2026 brings the raven-haired heroine to beautiful Barcelona.

Writer Erik Burnham adds to his growing bibliography featuring the most celebrated vampiress in comic books, following his hit series Vampirella/Dejah Thoris and an even more unexpected yet epic crossover with Pathfinder/Vampirella: Blade of Darkness publishing in parallel to this new special.

An unexpected fan-favorite is along for the ride, as the first-ever artist of Vampirella from the Dynamite era is back! Wagner Reis illustrated the opening six-issue story of Vampi’s 2010 flagship series, known as the “Crown of Thorns” arc. This Helliday Special marks his heralded return to the character after over 15 years.

Vampirella’s life is filled with chaos agents, aliens, vampires, alien vampires, interpersonal drama, interdimensional travel, and a thirst for both knowledge and blood. With that much on her plate, she has to relish some rest and relaxation every once and a while. A trip to Spain and the historic city of Barcelona is on the itinerary this time. But she can never truly escape the job!

Just because she tries to take a day off, doesn’t mean the chaos doesn’t follow her on the way out the door. There are bloodthirsty beings across the world, under every nook and cranny. Barcelona is no different, as their nemesis will soon learn quite urgently. The only way she’s going to get any peace is sending these foes straight to hell!

The powerhouse team of Burnham and Reis are complemented by chillingly gorgeous covers by Cat Staggs, Meghan Hetrick, and cosplayer Lorraine. This issue also features a premium mystery blind bag containing three limited editions of the issue randomly selected from a range of exclusive variants.

Fans can sink their teeth into this issue December 9.
