Highlander: The Original Screenplay #1 Covers Revealed

Titan Comics has revealed the covers for Highlander: The Original Screenplay #1. Written by Gregory Widen, creator and screenwriter of the original Highlander movie, with art by Szymon Kudranski, this highly anticipated comic series is based on Gregory Widen’s original script and reveals the original vision behind the timeless classic.

This lavishly illustrated comic tells the story of the immortal Connor MacLeod as he lives through the centuries facing off against rivals for the mysterious prize.

Based on Widen’s original script, this volume presents the story as you’ve never seen it before.

Highlander: The Original Screenplay #1 features covers by Gerardo Zaffino, photo by Lee Binding, Szymon Kudranski, Claudia Gironi, original poster by Brian Bysouth, a blank sketch, and variations including virgin cardstock and foil covers.

Ice Cream Man gets a Chocolate/Vanilla Twist Edition

W. Maxwell Prince and Martín Morazzo will get fans screaming again this Halloween season with a very special, Ice Cream Man #1: Chocolate/Vanilla Twist. Chainkata #1 gets a Rob Liefeld Variant Cover

Image Comics has revealed a special, highly collectible variant cover by comics icon and Image Comics founder Rob Liefeld for the most anticipated premiere of the year—Chainkata #1—by multiple Eisner Award winning super-star Daniel Warren Johnson which launches this November from Image Comics.

Liefeld’s striking take on the series’ main character is sure to snag the attention of comics fans everywhere and will be fully orderable to comic shop retailers.

In Chainkata, Luma is a chainsaw-wielding warrior queen, seeking out an unknown power in the vastness of space. All she wants is to find peace, but violence and terror follow her through every black hole. The story will blend the epic, high-stakes sci-fi of Beta Ray Bill and Space-Mullet and with the character-building depth of Extremity and Do A Powerbomb. It is the culmination, and maximization, of Johnson’s craft and the perfect read for fans of action-packed comics with art that leaps from the page.

The First-Ever Energon Universe Comics Manga Variant Covers Arrive in December

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have announced a spectacular set of manga variant covers for their Energon Universe comics from acclaimed manga artists Satoshi Shiki and Manabu Yashiro

These first-of-their-kind Energon Universe manga comic covers will be available as 1:50 incentive variants in the E cover slot for the December Energon Universe comic issues M.A.S.K. #7Transformers #39G.I. Joe #29, and Void Rivals #37. Fans can collect all four manga variant covers at your local comic shop, beginning with M.A.S.K. #7 on December 2, 2026! 

These first-ever manga variant covers to grace the Energon Universe comics will span a thrilling lineup of issues this December. M.A.S.K. #7 kicks off a new story arc with Scott Trakker in the middle of the action, Transformers #39 features Optimus against a surprising foe, G.I. Joe #29 delivers the final Night Force fight and the end of G.I. Joe as we know it, while Void Rivals #37 begins the all-new Pit of Destruction story arc for Darak and Solila.

Babymetal Steps Back Into The World of Marvel Zombies on Exclusive Variant Celebrating Marvel Zombies: War Zone #1

hustl. announced today that iconic Japanese metal band Babymetal will join Marvel Zombies on a limited-edition variant cover to celebrate the release of Marvel Zombies: War Zone #1

This collaboration was inspired by Babymetal’s connection to Marvel Animation’s Marvel Zombies on Disney+, after their song “from me to u” was featured in the trailer for the show. The song was originally released on their record-breaking fourth-studio album Metal Forth, which made its debut last year at #9 on the Billboard 200, marking the band’s first-ever U.S. Top 10 album and the first time in history that an all-Japanese fronted group has made this list.

The 3,500 copy limited run features art from Phil Noto and is available now for pre-order through the Capitol Records online store, and for the hobby market though hustl. It will be available for pre-order in Japan on September 7th. The original comic with standard cover is available in comic shops starting September 2nd.
