Dark Horse Direct and Nickelodeon reveal The Legend of Korra – Korra Statue

Dark Horse Direct and Nickelodeon have unveiled The Legend of Korra – Korra Statue, a limited-edition collectable statue inspired by Avatar Korra in the hit animated series The Legend of Korra.

The Legend of Korra – Korra Statue stands 10-inches tall on a 4-inch base, inspired by the protagonist’s Book 4 appearance sporting the traditional Southern Water Tribe garb. Deftly bending all four elements – water, earth, fire, and air – this dynamic statue collectible was sculpted by Bigshot Toyworks with prototyping and paint by J.W. Productions. 

With a limited-edition size of 2,000 units, each Korra Statue collectible comes complete with a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity and detailed elemental base. Dark Horse Direct to release Aang and Korra Bookends

Dark Horse Direct presents two new products, The Legend of Korra and Avatar: The Last Airbender Bookends arriving Spring 2021.

Riding his air scooter over runes of the four legendary elements, Avatar Aang will protect your books from the Fire Nation for ages to come. Aang can be rotated on the bookend base to face any direction and stands 6” tall. The bookend base is 6” x 6” and the wall is 7” tall. Additionally, his airbender Master tattoos and eyes are coated with glow-in-the-dark paint so you too can awaken his Avatar state.

Summoning a powerful water vortex over runes of the four legendary elements, Korra stands tall. The Avatar Korra bookend is poised perfectly to accompany the Aang bookend. Korra can also be rotated on the bookend base to face any direction you choose and stands 8” tall. The bookend base is 6” x 6” and the wall is 7” tall. Korra’s eyes are also coated with glow-in-the-dark paint, invoking her Avatar spirit.

Dark Horse Comics Teams Up with Legend of Korra Cast for Another Live Read

Following the excitement of the release of Nickelodeon’s hit animated series The Legend of Korra on Netflix snd CBS All Access, Dark Horse has announced another live reading event featuring Janet Varney (Korra) and Seychelle Gabriel (Asami), P.J. Byrne (Bolin), David Faustino (Mako), and Mindy Sterling (Lin Beifong), the cast members of The Legend of Korra, on Dark Horse’s Twitch channel, twitch.tv/darkhorsecomics, Wednesday, September 2, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific.

The cast members will conduct a live reading of an excerpt from The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part One, picking up where the last live-reading left off!

During the live stream, fans are invited to ask questions about The Legend of Korra. Following the reading, the actors will take part in a moderated Q&A session.

A free digital excerpt of The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part One on Dark Horse will be available beginning Monday, at 12:00 a.m. Pacific, so that fans can follow along during the live reading.

During the stream, Dark Horse will give away one prize, to include one copy each of: The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Library Edition and The Legend of Korra: Ruins of the Empire Parts 1-3. The Legend of Korra: Turf War Gets a New Live Reading

Following the successful live table read from The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part One in April by voice actors Janet Varney and Seychelle Gabriel, Dark Horse welcomes the actors back for a second live reading from the comics!

On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, starting at 2 pm PT, Varney (Korra) and Gabriel (Asami) will be joined by P.J. Byrne (Bolin), David Faustino (Makko), and Mindy Sterling (Lin Beifong), fellow cast members of Nickelodeon’s The Legend of Korra animated series. This live reading from The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars: Part One will pick up where the previous reading left off, covering the next several chapters of the graphic novel, and will be broadcast on Dark Horse’s Twitch channel.

Fans are invited to ask questions about The Legend of Korra in the live stream chat. Following the live reading, a moderated Q&A session will take place with the actors.

A free digital excerpt from The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part One will be made available on Dark Horse Digital, beginning at 12 am Pacific on May 26, 2020, so that fans can follow along during the live reading.

During the stream, Dark Horse will give away a copy of The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Library Edition to one lucky viewer. Participants must enter during the live broadcast in the stream chat (instructions will be given during the broadcast). One entry per person/Twitch account.

Dark Horse has announced a special live read event featuring Janet Varney (Korra) and Seychelle Gabriel (Asami), the incredible voice talent behind the Nickelodeon characters Korra and Asami from The Legend of Korra animated series, on Dark Horse’s Twitch channel on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific.

Varney and Gabriel will conduct a live reading of The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part One, covering the first chapter, featuring Asami and Korra as they take a needed vacation in the spirit world.  During the live stream, fans are invited to ask questions about The Legend of Korra.
