Continue past the plot of the original base game, TMNT: Shadows of the Past, with an all-new Adventure Comic that features 4 new Battle Scenarios not available in any of the box-set TMNT base game versions.

april-oneil-hero-pack-1IDW Games has announced that April O’Neil, gutsy and independent ally of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is getting a premiere hero pack upgrade from Kevin Wilson, the same creator of the critical hit, TMNT: Shadows of the Past board game.

The April O’Neil Hero Pack allows fans to continue the plot of the original base game, TMNT: Shadows of the Past, with the April O’Neil Hero Pack, which includes an all-new adventure comic featuring four new battle scenarios not available in any previous TMNT box set.

april-oneil-hero-pack-3The expansion includes April’s action dice. They feature a double shuriken and two chi faces making her a long-range powerhouse fighter. It also includes seven action cards such as First-Aid, which allows her to heal the Turtles, the boot-shaking Gravity Gauntlet, that both inflicts damage to opponents and knocks them back, and the Stealth Suit, which makes her incredibly hard to hit in combat.

Also available in this expansion pack, is a new April O’Neil figure sculpt with a completely different look. With her hood up and gravity gauntlet raised, April is ready to stand up and fight alongside Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shadows of the PastIDW Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign of radical proportions! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past, designed by Kevin Wilson, is a scenario-driven, miniatures-based combat board game, and its Kickstarter campaign is live now, featuring a host of exclusive gaming and publishing content, including an exclusive April O’Neil Hero Pack as well as a teased Casey Jones.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past will feature story content from the hit ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IDW comic. Featuring a lasting story arc, the game allows two to five players will battle their way through a series of 60-90 minute missions with players developing their characters strengths, fighting styles, and equipment along the way. Expect to see all kinds of fan-favorite characters show up as the Turtles call on their closest allies for help in battling their deadliest foes.

Backers have the choice between two versions of the game, both featuring exclusive boxes and content only available through Kickstarter. Once the game meets its funding goal, all backers will gain the ability to play as not just the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but as their long-time ally April O’Neil if they so choose. For the classic collectors, there’s a deluxe “Works Edition,” which comes with four exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles miniatures based off Kevin Eastman’s art style. More goodies will be added to both tiers as the campaign continues.

SDCC 2015: IDW Games Launches Turtles Adventure Board Game

TMNT Board GameAt San Diego Comic-Con, IDW Games announced a big box Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adventure game complete with sculpted miniatures that is going to shell shock gamers. Debuting in early 2016, the game will let players step into the roles of their favorite Turtle or ultimate villain, Shredder. Designed by Kevin Wilson with input from IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creative team, franchise co-creator Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, and Tom Waltz, the game will be available in a standard and special limited-edition format, featuring artwork by Eastman.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past will be a scenario-driven campaign game that features story content from the hit ongoing IDW comic. Two to five players will battle their way through a series of 60-90 minute missions where players develop their characters strengths, fighting styles, and equipment along the way to create a lasting story arc.
