NYCC 2026: Marvel’s Spider Web Expands in 2027 with Spider-Punk, Spider-Man: Noir, Marvel SFX: Thwip, and more!

The web of Spider-Man and his allies continues to expand across the Marvel Universe! New comic series for Spider-Punk and Spider-Man: Noir, a new anthology series Marvel SFX: Thwip and a teaser for an upcoming Amazing Spider-Man/Miles Morales: Spider-Man crossover were revealed to fans during the jam-packed Marvel Comics: The Spider-Web panel at New York Comic Con on Saturday.

SPIDER-PUNK’S GOING SOLO!
The Spider-Band is MISSING, and Hobie Brown’s in L.A. to unravel the mystery of what happened to his friends. But he’ll have to confront his inner demons along the way, and those of a new adversary — MZ. NEGATIVE! And if that weren’t enough, she’s teamed up with SCORPION to be the ultimate thorn in Hobie’s side. It’s more musical magic with your favorite rock ’n’ roll Spider-fam!

The new titles will start to kick off in January as readers thrill at the return of Hobie Brown aka Spider-Punk with writer Cody Ziglar and artist Justin Mason reuniting alongside cover artist Taurin Clarke. Spider-Punk #1 will introduce Mz. Negative, a new adversary for Hobie as he searches for the missing members of his band in a rock ‘n’ roll mystery adventure. The first issue features variant covers by Olivier Coipel, Jerome Opena, Simone Di Meo, and Justin Mason.

READY, SET, THWIP!
One of comics’ best innovations is the visual sound effect, and the House of Ideas is celebrating the best of all SFX with our new anthology THWIP! Some of comics’ best creators alongside luminaries from outside the field bring their Thiwpiest stories to bear!

A bold new anthology series with a focus on the iconic sound effects from Marvel Comics begins in January with Marvel SFX: Thwip #1, featuring stories by Jed MacKay, multi-Bram Stoker Award and Nebula Award winning author Stephen Graham Jones, and Rainbow Rowell with art from artists Alessandro Cappuccio, Lucas Werneck, and more. Future issues will feature creators including Eric Zawadski, Simone Di Meo, and many more, with additional Marvel SFX series to follow. The first issue features covers by Alessandro Cappullio and Mark Chiarello.

VENOM JOINS THE NOIR UNIVERSE!
Just as life seems to be going Peter Parker’s way, a new foe threatens to engulf him in total darkness—literally! As he untangles the mystery of what happened to his new girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend (it’s fine, we’re fine, everything’s FINE), Peter will have to choose between the allure of infinite power or catching a murderer…and his choice may cost him everything.

In February, an all-new Spider-Man: Noir series from writer Alex Segura and artist Farid Karami, finds Peter Parker caught up in an investigation involving a mysterious underworld artefact, his new girlfriend’s ex, and…VENOM NOIR?! Spider-Man: Noir #1 features a main cover by Stephen Mooney.

A shadowy figure in a trench coat and hat stands on a dark street, illuminated by a full moon, with large 'NOIR' lettering on the walls around him.

Teased at the end of the panel with a stunning promotional image by artist Ryan Stegman, the “Crisis of Faith” crossover slated for 2027 from Miles Morales: Spider-Man writer Bryan Hill and Amazing Spider-Man writer Joe Kelly is set to drastically alter the trust and relationship between the two Spider-Men and their allies, with more details to be revealed in the months ahead.

A dynamic comic book cover featuring Spider-Man and Miles Morales in action poses, amidst a backdrop of shattered glass and bright city lights. The title 'Crisis of Faith' is prominently displayed at the bottom, with a release date of April 2027.
