The television series Heroes isn’t just returning to NBC this fall with Heroes Reborn, it’s also getting a comic tie-in too courtesy of Titan Comics.
The licensing agreement awarded by Universal Partnerships & Licensing begins with a five-story arc featuring the origins of one of the series’ new main characters. The comic series will be written by Heroes Reborn Supervising Producer Seamus Fahey and Zach Craley and illustrated by Rubine.
Titan said they were working in close collaboration with the team behind the show, and are looking at them as bonus episodes.
Heroes Reborn brings back many of the characters from the original show, as well as all new character in a 13-episode event series. The show chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. The cast includes Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet, a.k.a. H.R.G., Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, Danika Yarosh and Rya Kihlstedt. Some of the original cast will be returning in guest star arcs, including Masi Oka, Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Jimmy Jean-Louis.
Heroes #1 will hit comic stores in October 2015.
