Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Tweets Teasers for Radical’s Hercules: The Thracian Wars

It looks like teasing upcoming movies with photos and more is becoming a bigger thing when it comes to “comic” movies. Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is giving us some behind the scenes info on his upcoming Hercules: The Thracian Wars based off of Radical Studios‘ graphic novel of the same name. He’s using the hashtag #ZeusApproved making it easy to sort this out from other projects he’s promoting.

Trailer – Oblivion

Radical Studios has released the first trailer for Oblivion, the new Tom Cruise science fiction film due out April 2013. The film also has a graphic novel to be released after the movie.

The film, which in addition to Cruise stars Andrea Riseborough, Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Melissa Leo, will be released on April 12, 2013 in the US on IMAX and April 19th worldwide.

The film tells the story of a drone repairman stationed on Earth after a devastating war who rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft.

The graphic novel, from the concept by Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski, will be written by Arvid Nelson, with art by Andree Wallen, and will be released in 2014.

Radical’s Hercules: The Thracian Wars Coming to the Big Screen

Radical Studios announced today their original graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars will be adapted as a motion picture to be co-produced by MGM Studios and Paramount Pictures. The graphic novel written by Steve Moore is an action-filled story based on the popular Ancient Greek mythology of Hercules. The film stars Dwayne Johnson and is directed by Brett RatnerHercules will be produced by Radical President Barry Levine, Beau Flynn and Brett Ratner. Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey and Radical EVP Jesse Berger will executive produce. The screenplay was adapted by Ryan Condal with script revisions by Evan Spiliotopoulos. Production is scheduled to start in early 2013.
