Phoenix ComicCon 2015: Dark Horse Announces a New Colder Series

As part of its announcement slate for Phoenix Comicon 2015, Dark Horse Comics has announced the final installment of  Eisner-nominated horror series Colder.

Colder: Toss the Bones sees the return of the Eisner-nominated horror series by Paul Tobin and Juan Ferreyra. Set to debut in September, the final chapter of the Colder trilogy follows a newly resurrected Nimble Jack, as he skips back and forth between the Hungry World and our own reality, recruiting agents of madness and unifying them with a single objective: the death and consumption of Declan!

Aspen Brings Four Exclusives to Phoenix Comicon

Aspen Comics will be at Phoenix Comicon with a wealth of exclusives in tow this Thursday, May 28th through Sunday, May 30th. Frank Mastromauro, Peter Steigerwald, Vince Hernandez, Siya Oum, Tom Hutchison, and Heather Finley will be in attendance at booths #9067 and #1066.

The publisher will have four Phoenix Comicon-exclusive variant issues available for purchase: Fathom: Kiani #4 by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald, Psycho Bonkers #2 by Agnes Garbowska, Shahrazad #3 by Nei Ruffino, and Lola XOXO: Wasteland Madam #2 by Siya Oum. The latter two exclusives will be premiering at Phoenix Comicon before officially hitting stores next Wednesday, June 3rd. Oum and writer Vince Hernandez will be available through the weekend to sign the Lola XOXO: Wasteland Madam exclusive variant.

Aspen will also have a selection of their industry-leading prints with them, including full-size versions of Phoenix Comicon exclusives Fathom: Kiani #4 by Turner and Steigerwald, Shahrazad #3 by Ruffino, and Lola XOXO: Wasteland Madam by Oum. As well, there will be a fourth convention exclusive print available: the Retailer Incentive cover of Shahrazad #3 by J. Scott Campbell.

Phoenix Comic Con Celebrates Shi’s 20th Anniversary

Comics Creator Billy Tucci takes his Shi 20th Anniversary Celebration Tour into  “The Grand Canyon State” to debut the exclusive Shi – Way of the Warrior #1 Phoenix Comic Con 20th Anniversary Edition this June 5-8th 2014 at the Pheonix Comicon.

The multi-Eisner award nominated Shi debuted in 1994 with the modern-day samurai fable, The Way of the Warrior”#1. Illustrated by Tucci, co-written with Peter Gutierrez, and colored by Barry Orkin, Way of the Warrior transcended independent publishing with a unique melding of Japanese mythology, history, and action not seen before in comics and became an instant comics classic.

The past three editions created for the London Super Comic Con, MegaCon and C2E2 instantly sold out, making these the rarest and most collectibles Shi comics ever.  But as per custom, the PCC Exclusive is limited to only 25 copies and each comes signed and individually numbered with a set price of $60.00 US.
