Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman, AMON -Crimson Devil- 1/6 Scale Statue

AMON descends to this world as Crimson Devil.

Gecco has revealed the Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman, AMON -Crimson Devil- 1/6 Scale Statue out this April for $299.99. The prepainted polystone statue is sculpted by Shinya Akao and painted by Norifumi Dohi.

The impressive figure was sculpted with an emphasis on “the slender and strong shape” of the iconic character and features many exciting highlights capturing both the brutal and stoic facial expression, raw power of form and every minute creature detail, nothing was left out.

This 1/6 scale Amon measures 46cm tall with its monstrous wing spread.

A huge demon skull and magic circle are designed on the base capturing the hideous demon’s world.
This is the finest representation of Devilman to date.

“Devilman” is a ground breaking comic series created by master manga artist Go Nagai, who marks his 50th anniversary as an artist in 2017. Many spin-off works have been released by various creators, and “Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman” is one of them. In this story, the mighty demon fighter “Amon” is fused with a human named Akira Fudo which we’ve recreated as a fine art polystone statue.

Gecco Releases Info on their Berserk/Guts 1/6 scale statue

Gecco has released info about their 1/6 scale statue of Guts, the one-eye and one-armed swordsman from the dark fantasy comic Berserk created by Kentaro Miura. The statue is 1/6 scale and priced at $339.00 and features the character wielding his giant sword that’s almost as big as him! The powerful stance captures the attitude of the character, his giant sword “Dragonslayer” resting on his shoulder. This statue captures the motif of Guts’ fierce battles against the demons in Retribution Arc: Lost Children. His freshly used sword, along with the slain bodies on the base below, create a tense atmosphere.

The revenge story has been adapted into a variety of different media, from TV anime series, to films, trading cards and more. It won the prestigious comics excellence award of 6th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2002.

The statue was sculpted by Shinya Akao with a digital sculpt by Masaki Akao, and painting by Norifumi Dohi.

There are 2 heads included, capturing both “glaring” and “sneering” portraits. “The Brand of Sacrifice” is carved into the back of his neck with all the textures of the gadgets sculpted in exacting detail. Details as subtle as the hidden crossbow in the mantle were sculpted with the greatest of care, making no compromises. The “Apostle Spawn” cruelly slain, liter the base, a far contrast to the adorable “Puck” and “Behelit” hiding inside the swordsman’s pouch helps express the world of Berserk.

The pre-painted statue will be released September 2015.
