This month it’s Transformers: Robots in Disguise in the current McDonald’s Happy Meals, but next month DC Comics‘ characters take the spotlight. Teaming up with Hot Wheels, DC heroes and villains will get themed cars for the next Happy Meal toy.
Superman, Batman, the Joker, Aquaman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg (I think), and Robin all get cars themed for them.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be in McDonald’s next Happy Meals. The toys look like they’re some sort of top thing, but not quite sure. These should be hitting the meals relatively soon.
At the McDonald‘s Happy Meal website, we get a look at what we’ll get for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 tie-in toys. What’s interesting is the movie will be the theme for both the boys AND girls toys. However, heart shaped items, bracelets, headbands and rings for the girls!? We couldn’t get a cool Gwen Stacy figure instead?
Starting January 17, Adventure Time is coming to McDonald’s Happy Meals with some toys based on the popular characters… but none of the Princesses!?!?
Once that promotion is up, it looks like cups will be the next giveaway featuring characters from the upcoming The Lego Movie including Lego Batman!
Up next in McDonald’s Happy Meals are toys based on the new cartoon series, Beware the Batman. It looks like there’s some cool toys here.
The next set of toys to hit McDonald’s Happy Meals include Hello Kitty and toys based on the hit cartoon Transformers: Prime. The toys look pretty decent and should be cool to see what sort of function they’ll have.
Coming up in the next McDonald‘s Happy Meals are toys based on Young Justice. Kind of cool looking, definitely different than what’s come before.
I was at McDonald‘s tonight and looked at their Olympics tie-in contest “USA Wins Gold.” I was looking at the stand up when one of the prizes caught my eye. Among the board listed between video games and gold is “comic book.” There were no other details on the display.
Well, I dug into the website for the contest and found out more details.
