SDCC 2025: Marvel Rivals announces Panels and an Exclusive Fan Experience

NetEase Games and Marvel Games have revealed their plans for San Diego Comic-Con for Marvel Rivals, the Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter that lets players assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains battling with unique powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse. Marvel Rivals will be back at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con with panels, awesome giveaways, special appearances and an exclusive multi-day fan experience located at the Marriott Marquis, just next door to the convention center.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is coming to the PS5 and PC in 2026

PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel Games assemble for 4v4 tag team fighter MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, launching 2026 on PS5 and PC!

Enter the fray with iconic Marvel heroes and villains such as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)—each with Arc’s unique twist on their character designs and gameplay styles.

From short-ranged jabs to the cinematic Ultimate Skills, each character features a bespoke set of Normal, Special, and Unique attacks inspired by their abilities and powers in Marvel lore. Electronic Arts cancels its Black Panther game and shuts down Cliffhanger Games

Electronic Arts has cancelled the Black Panther video game that had been announced in 2023 and shutdown the studio behind it, Cliffhanger Games. EA is making other layoffs across other team though specifics are unknown at the time.

The game was revealed, along with the Cliffhanger studio based in Seattle, in July 2023 and was described then as an original, third-person, single-player video game in collaboration with Marvel Games.

The cancellation was announced to employees through an email sent by EA Entertainment and Technology president Laura Miele, according to the report.

The reason given is that Electronic Arts will focus more on other games where they think they have the “most significant growth opportunities.” That means expect more Battlefield, The Sims, Star Wars, Mass Effect, and Apex Legends. Interestingly, EA will continue to work on the Iron Man game that was announced in 2022.

This continues mass layoffs that have hit the video game industry this year. EA laid off between 300 and 400 employees cancelling other projects less than a month ago as just three months after it made significant cuts to BioWare.

Luna Snow, Marvel’s very own K-Pop superstar, is enjoying a surge in popularity thanks to her inclusion in Marvel Rivals, the hit global gaming phenomenon from Marvel Games and NetEase Games. On April 2, fans can dive into the breakout character’s latest comic book adventure in Concert of Champions #1, an action-packed one-shot by writer Jason Loo and artist Rafael Loureiro where Luna shares the stage with other music-based super heroes like Dazzler and Lila Cheney. The upcoming comic will have a special Marvel Rivals Variant Cover spotlighting Luna’s Mirae 2099 costume, a new in-game skin that was made available to players last week. The cover will follow previous Marvel Rivals Variant Cover collections, including the recently announced ten hitting stands in March, each highlighting the hit game’s original artwork and unique designs. 

Luna Snow made her debut in the MARVEL Future Fight video game before captivating comic readers in titles like Agents of Atlas. In addition to Concert of Champions #1, fans can also catch Luna Snow next month in Doom’s Division, a One World Under Doom tie-in series starring Luna alongside other iconic South Korean heroes.

Marvel Rivals: Galactic Tunes Original Video Game Soundtrack is available now

Marvel Games and NetEase Games recently unveiled the launch trailer for Marvel Rivals, the new Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter that lets players assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains battling with unique powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse. The highly-anticipated game launches today, December 6 with all heroes unlocked and free to play at launch and beyond.

The launch trailer features renowned rock vocalist Chrissy Costanza, who garners more than 4.5 million listeners monthly on Spotify and has garnered over 3 billion streams, performs the game’s theme song “Rivals ‘Til the End”. Best known as the powerhouse frontwoman of band Against The Current and for her iconic gaming anthems like “Legends Never Die” and “Phoenix”, Chrissy’s career seamlessly bridges the worlds of gaming and music.
