American Comics: A History (WW Norton) – Columbia professor Jeremy Dauver takes readers through the history of American comics from the Civil War to recent times!

Animal Castle #1 (Ablaze) It’s ta new take on the classic Animal Farm that’s familiar but delivers surprises.

Avengers #50 (Marvel) – Celebrating 750 issues, there’s some big things promised with this anniversary issue.

Batman: Fear State Omega (DC Comics) – The latest event has wrapped up and we want to see where the series goes from here.

Campisi #4 (AfterShock) – The mob vs. a dragon. Nuff said.

Gotham City Villains: Anniversary Giant (DC Comics) – Danny Devito writing an entry in this anthology. That alone has us sold.

King of Spies #1 (Image Comics) – The world’s greatest secret agent has six months to live. Does he die quietly in a hospital bed, or does he make up for a lifetime of bad decisions? A new series from Mark Millar and Matteo Scalera? Yeah, we’re in.

The Last Session #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – A group of roleplayers site down to finish their first campaign.

Magic: Master of Metal #1 (BOOM! Studios) – Big things are promised in the issue that it’ll impact and set up whatever is coming in 2022.

Maniac of New York: Bronx is Burning #1 (AfterShock) – The first volume delivered an interesting take on the slasher genre taking place in a very real NYC. Like a good slasher film, the big bad is coming back and we want to learn more about Maniac Harry.

Search for Hu #3 (AfterShock) – We’re suckers for mob war type stories but it’s the details of this one that stands out.

Transformers: Shattered Glass #4 (IDW Publishing) – While the overall event has been a bit mixed, it’s been interesting to see where the series has been going in this “Mirror Universe” take on Transformers.

Venom #2 (Marvel) – The first issue had a lot of intriguing concepts and definitely took things in a very different direction. So, lets see what the second issue brings.

Warhammer 40,000: Sisters of Battle #4 (Marvel) – We’re fans of Games Workshop as a whole but this focus on the squad and faith of the Sisters has been an interesting read and given us a greater appreciation of the army.

Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons #1 (DC Comics) – Kelly Sue Deconnick and Phil Jimenez take us through the entire story of the Amazons. We’ve been waiting on this highly anticipated series and so excited it’s finally here!

X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #4 (Marvel) – We have no idea what’s going on and what to expect.

Studios has revealed today a first look at Magic: Master of Metal #1, a special 40-page one-shot issue from acclaimed comics writer Mairghread Scott, and acclaimed artists Jorge Coehlo, French Carlomagno, and Jacques Salomon, colorist Francesco Segala, and letterer Ed Dukeshire, featuring the infamous Master of Metal, Tezzeret, in four brand new stories that’ll ignite a spark of events bound to ripple throughout the Multiverse! 

When the fate of the Multiverse is at stake, what game will the scheming Master of Metal play? In “Axis”, “Lover of Things”, “Right Hand of God”, and “What Which is Mine”, the cruel artificer Tezzeret of Esper, now free from his former master Nicol Bolas, the God-Pharaoh of Amonkhet, travels across the Multiverse seeking the answer to a question only he knows. Once he finds it, he will manipulate anyone necessary and do whatever it takes to claim his prize… but to what end?
