Art teacher Okabe creates strange, headless statues. One day, he is found murdered, his corpse headless. From that day on, art club member Shimada seems off somehow… Elsewhere, in a curious town custom, the dead are placed on a tatami mat and set out on the river. Kanako’s grandmother lives alone in a house near this river. What did she witness at one of these funerals long ago? And a mysterious disease makes girls suddenly become more beautiful. Dark Horse Manga announces John Tarachine’s The Credits Roll into the Sea, coming in March 2026

Dark Horse Manga announces its latest English translation debut with the popular shojo manga The Credits Roll into the Sea from John Tarachine, translated by Jocelyne Allen. The Credits Roll into the Sea has been nominated twice for the manga Grand Prize category in the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, nominated for the 2022 Manga Taisho Awards, and topped the 2022 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! reference guide as the #1 recommended manga for women. Now, Dark Horse Manga brings Tarachine-sensei’s acclaimed work to English audiences, scheduled to arrive in March 2026.

Just what are you going to do with the rest of your life? It’s a question everyone must answer, no matter their age. Umiko Chino is a 65-year-old retired woman in mourning for her late husband. Remembering how they used to watch films together, Umiko goes to the movie theater for the first time in years, where she meets Kai, an attractive, ambiguous young man who studies filmmaking at a nearby art school.
