Award-Winning Adventure Time Creative Team Passes the Torch

After three years of adventures in Ooo, the Eisner and Harvey Award-winning creative team of Ryan North and artists Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb are giving Finn and Jake one last high-five and moving on from KaBOOM!’s Adventure Time comics, welcoming a new creative team to the series. The team is leaving on a high note, with 35 amazing issues and a fist-bump-worthy legacy.

The new creative team of Chris Hastings and Zachary Sterling begin at issue #36, starting a new chapter in the world of Ooo.

Adventure Time #35 is in stores December 24th with main covers by Shanti Rittgers and Mychal Amann, a retailer incentive cover by Jimmy Giegerich, and a Final Order Cutoff unlocked cover by outgoing artists Shelli Paroline & Braden Lamb.

Adventure Time #36 arrives in comic shops on January 28th with a cover price of $3.99 under Diamond order code NOV141132. Issue #35 ships with main covers by Justin Hillgrove and Ale Giorgini, and a retailer incentive cover by Rebekka Dunlap.

KaBOOM!/BOOM! Announce the Uncle Grandpa Creative Team

Earlier this year, KaBOOM! and Cartoon Network Enterprises announced their newest all-ages title based on the hit Cartoon Network series, Uncle Grandpa. The companies have announced further details of the comic series, including the release date and the creative team, which includes Zac Gorman, Kevin Burkhalter, Pranas Naujokaitis, Jimmy Giegerich, and more.

At its core, Uncle Grandpa is a show about everyone’s magical uncle and grandpa who travels around the world in a mystical RV. His mission is to help people wherever, however, and whenever they need it. Through his childlike and innocent ways, he finds unusual solutions to everyday situations. An eternal optimist, Uncle Grandpa’s glass is always full of something delicious and he’s always ready to greet the day (and everything and everyone) with his signature, “GOOD MORNIN’!” Uncle Grandpa debuted on Cartoon Network last September as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 6-11. Uncle Grandpa airs on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Uncle Grandpa #1 arrives in comic shops from KaBOOM! on October 1st with a cover price of $3.99. The main cover is illustrated by Bob Flynn.
