The bestselling, award winning creative team behind such sales chart toppers as Descender, Ascender, and Little Monsters—Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen—will re-team with an all-new ongoing series in the upcoming Crowbound. This dark fantasy epic was announced last night at New York Comic Con to a packed room of comic shop retailers at the Lunar Distribution retailer event. Crowbound is set to launch from Image Comics in March 2026.
At thirteen, every child begins their life inside The Factory—a vast, monolithic superstructure that cleaves the world in two—pulling levers, pushing buttons, and never knowing why. But Ava is a beautiful girl and the sinister Factory Men decide hers will be a fate of “special service” up the coast. Left reeling from their violent separation, her mother, Rose, embarks on a desperate rescue attempt when she strikes an uncertain bargain with the eerie, otherworldly Scarecrow Queen…
Fueled by fury, grief, and an undying love, Rose sets out on a nightmarish journey across the lowlands—a haunted, post-apocalyptic dreamscape crawling with strange creatures, forgotten gods, and the twisted remains of the old world—to find her daughter at any cost.
Crowbound is a blood-soaked fairytale, steeped in Southern Gothic dread and Neo-Western grit, where one woman’s hope flickers fiercely against the encroaching shadows.

The Eisner Award nominated, supernatural mystery series Phantom Road—by master storytellers Jeff Lemire and Gabriel Hernández Walta—will take a chilling turn into the heart of a brutal murder investigation with Occult undertones this October. The Phantom Road, Vol. 3 trade paperback will collect issues #11-15 and arrive from Image Comics just in time for Halloween.
Phantom Road, Vol. 3 plunges readers deeper into its eerie mythology—where strange leylines, monstrous entities, and a web of roadside horrors all lead back to a hair-raising conspiracy known as Project Jackknife.
Set in 1997, fans follow Agent Donald Weaver as he’s dispatched to rural Wisconsin to probe a string of grisly murders. Teamed with the unpredictable Agent Jimmy Harold, Weaver unearths something far more disturbing: a pattern connecting the Billy Bear truck stops, supernatural energy fields, and an ancient Evil bleeding through the cracks of reality.
The clues are piling up, but the truth is darker—and more dangerous—than anyone imagined.
With its signature mix of cryptic suspense, emotional depth, and jaw-dropping revelations, Phantom Road continues to grip fans of Twin Peaks, The Department of Truth, The X-Files, Gideon Falls, and Revival with its unique, atmospheric world building.
Phantom Road, Volume Three trade paperback (ISBN: 9781534332867, Lunar Code 0825IM0478) will be available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, October 8 and independent bookstores, Bookshop, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, October 21.
