Inkblot #1 Heads Back to Print and Gets a New Cover by Andy Kubert

Image Comics has rushed Inkblot #1 by Rusty Gladd and Emma Kubert back to print in order to keep up with the overwhelming customer demand for the enchanting fantasy adventure series. The second printing cover will feature art by Andy Kubert and be available this month. 

This new ongoing series follows a powerful sorceress attempting to correct her greatest mistake—the creation of a magical cat that can travel through time, space, and reality. The cat threatens to unravel the fabric of the universe, doesn’t care, and just won’t listen!  

Inkblot #1, second printing (Diamond Code JUL209306) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, September 30.

Wednesdays (and now Tuesdays) are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in!

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Baloney & Friends (Disney Hyperion) – A really cute graphic novel for young readers. Check out our review.

Black Widow #1 (Marvel) – Black Widow is back in her own series! We’ve read the first issue and we’re beyond intrigued by this spy/action series.

DCeased: Dead Planet #3 (DC Comics) – What’s in the “green” on the other side of the world? We find out and it’s interesting! A lot is dropped this issue about the real threat at hand.

Grendel Kentucky #1 (AWA Studios) – A small town has a monster they sacrifice a person to every season but, what happens when the town breaks that deal?

Inkblot #1 (Image Comics) – Emma Kubert and Rusty Gladd’s new high-fantasy epic series about a sorceress attempting to correct her greatest mistake.

Lonely Receiver #1 (AfterShock) – A horror/breakup story in five parts.

Marvel Zombies Resurrection #1 (Marvel) – A new volume and take on the popular Marvel Zombies series. It’s a familiar plot but well done and we’re excited to see where it all goes.

My Little Pony/Transformers #2 (IDW Publishing) – The first issue caught us off guard at how well it worked and how fun it was. We’re excited to see what else the series has up its sleeve.

Strange Adventures #5 (DC Comics) – The series is a long game in that each issue is just a slice of the bigger puzzle. A threat looms over Earth and Adam Strange may be the one who has to save it.

We Only Find Them When They’re Dead #1 (BOOM! Studios) – The latest BOOM! series with buzz. It’s already sold out before release.

Inkblot Sees a Magical Cat Threatening to Unravel the Fabric of the Universe

Third-generation comic artist Emma Kubert partners with up-and-coming writer Rusty Gladd to deliver the epic high-fantasy adventure, Inkblot. The new ongoing series will launch from Image Comics this September. 

Kubert is known most recently for contributions as a penciler, inker, and colorist for DC Entertainment’s DC Super Hero Girls and Teen Titans Go! She also drew layouts for The New York Times bestselling young adult graphic novel Raven by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo.
