Review: Independence Day #2

ID2_COVER2AWith  fear and suspicion running rife aboard the sub, Adams prepares to embark the alien vessel in search of answers. But how will its extraterrestrial crew react to unwanted visitors onboard?

Written by Victor Gischler, what starts with a bang, ends with a strange sight. Even if the crew returns, following orders after a firefight with the aliens. The firefight in the issue adds some excitement, and reveals that some of the aliens survived the crash. I’m curious how this will conclude, as the new movie comes out this summer. Do they intertwine them in some way?

Action filled art by Rodney Ramos exists almost throughout the comic. The art work by Ramos is superb overall. I will admit the detail they put into the exploration of the ship is stunning. You can tell the artist has a great passion for this series.
