Arcadia #5 has interesting aspects but doesn’t hit the emotional moments like it intends to

Rouke has promised to show Halu and Fix the way to Arcadia, but the road to utopia is far from easy. From apocalyptic weather to deadly robot hunters roaming hostile towns, it feels like everything is conspiring to keep them from their destination. Perhaps worst of all, though, is when Rouke’s past catches up with him and a gang of scurrilous bikers comes looking to collect a debt.

Fort Psycho #1 Electrifies with High-Voltage Covers by Brian Hurtt, Lewis LaRosa, Inaki Miranda, David Rubín, Kyle Starks, Dustin Weaver, and More!

Oni Press and Flux House unleash a barrage of armor-piercing covers for Fort Psycho #1 (of 12), the 40-PAGE FIRST ISSUE of a powerful new maxi-series from New York Times bestselling writer Matt Kindt and adrenaline-racing artist Brian Hurtt! This August, enter an off-the-grid island prison stocked with trained killers, secret betrayals, and the long-buried truth about the mission that led them there as Fort Psycho #1 unleashes one of the summer’s most formidable line-ups of covers and variants from artists including series co-creator Brian Hurtt alongside Lewis LaRosa, Inaki Miranda, David Rubin, Kyle Starks, and Dustin Weaver— including foil, black & white, metal and blank sketch variants.

Ten years ago, the nation of Singapore sank into the Pacific Ocean. The underground terrorist network known as The Seven Seals took credit for the largest act of terror in human history. In the aftermath, the United Nations created a strike team of highly trained covert operatives with one mission: locate, identify, and eliminate The Seven Seals’ secretive leader. The team’s clandestine affairs were to always remain in the shadows – until their final, explosive confrontation with The Seven Seals resulted in a large-scale tragedy too bloody to cover up and too tragic to ignore.

Disgraced and disavowed by the governments that trained them, the world’s most dangerous secret agents have been convicted for their crimes and sentenced to serve time side-by-side in the one place capable of holding them: their old island headquarters, Fort Cyclone – now known in the media by the derogatory nickname “Fort Psycho.”

And that’s where the official story is about to go terribly, terribly wrong.

WARNING: YOU HAVE UNTIL AUGUST 2026 TO REACH MINIMUM SAFE DISTANCE FROM Fort Pyscho #1 –   the brand-new, ticking time bomb of comic book firepower!

Arcadia #4 really shifts the focus of the series as a new direction debuts

There’s nothing Halu has wanted more than to spend the rest of his life with Fix in blissful romance. But over time, their shiny love is starting to tarnish under the strain of everyday life. Especially compared to the picture- perfect narrative Halu can view through Weedy’s Neuronaten device.

Enter Rouke. A hard-living drifter offering Halu the opportunity for adventure. Halu is eager to join the brigand on the road, but Fix isn’t sure the price of those thrills won’t be too high.

Arcadia #1 is some solid sci-fi that slowly teases the future to come

In a future where humanity has vanished, a new form of life rises from the ruins: the Serants, artificial beings born from mysterious technological chrysalises known as Superdragons. Each one carries a Pearl, a biotechnological core that holds their consciousness, their memories…their soul.

Halu is a Serant born late, emerging from a forgotten silo. He is rescued from destruction by Weedy, an eccentric scavenger obsessed with the remnants of the past and the search for meaning in their own existence. Soon after, Halu meets Fix, a practical, strong, and luminous young mechanic who awakens something deep within him. Together, in a world of ruins and dangers, they search for meaning, connection, and a reason to endure.

Arcadia is a work of existential science fiction–profoundly human, where memory and love endure as a precious mystery that refuses to fade. A story that explores what makes us human…when humanity is no longer there to tell us the answer.

Blade Forger

No matter who you are or where you’re from, with enough aspiration, courage and training you could become a Blade Forger, win the tournament and be the new Emperor.

The discovery of CORUM, a never seen before energy source, led to a bloody world war for its control. After years of destruction, the Lords of the Lands agreed to negotiate a ceasefire for lasting peace. The BLADE FORGERS TREATY was born from that meeting.

This treaty established that the mining of Corum would be centralized through one government, led by a neutral Emperor. The Emperor would have to be a BLADE FORGER, a mystical swordsman, and claim the title in a tournament called The Tournament of the Five Rings. Every five years Blade Forgers from every corner of the Empire would fight for the possibility of becoming the new Emperor.

A young Blade Forger named Owada challenges the Emperor in the name of the forsaken people. This is the story of what happens next.
