Gone #3 wraps up the series with an overall ho-hum

Abi has been from one end of the galaxy to the other and just about the only place she hasn’t reached is the one place she’s most afraid to go…HOME. Gone #2

Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

U & I #1

Wednesdays (and Tuesdays) are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find out what folks think below, and what comics you should be looking out for this week.

Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees #3 (IDW Publishing) – If you like serial killer stories, this is one to not be missed. Every issue has been amazing.

Gone #2 (DSTLRY) – Jock’s series has been interesting sci-fi about a stowaway on a spaceship and being caught between two warring factions.

The One Hand #1 (Image Comics) – Neo Novena detective Ari Nasser is about to retire with an enviable record, until a brutal murder occurs, bearing all the hallmarks of the “One Hand Killer”… which should be impossible, since Ari already put him away not once, but twice in the years before.

Pine and Merrimac #2 (BOOM! Studios) – Interesting private eye series, there’s some intriguing political intrigue involved in it all.

Thundercats #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – The classic series is reborn in this new comic that has a hell of an order. This is a hot debut to not be missed!

Traveling the Mars #10 (Ablaze) – One of the best series on the shelf right now.

U & I #1 (AWA Studios) – The next chapter in the saga of the Resistance Universe focuses on an unlikely love story.

Ultimate Black Panther #1 (Marvel) – Already sold out, the second series of the new Ultimate Universe is here with a familiar but new take on Black Panther!

DSTLRY reveals new incentive covers for White Boat, Gone, and Somna

DSTLRY has revealed eleven covers for three upcoming issues all releasing in Spring 2024.

New series debut White Boat #1 by longtime collaborators Scott Snyder and Francesco Francavilla leads the charge on March 27th with open order and incentive variants that preview the Lovecraftian horrors within:

  • Cover A – Francesco Francavilla – Open Order
  • Cover B – Kelley Jones (Batman, The Sandman) – Open Order Variant
  • Cover C – Rafael Albuquerque (American Vampire, Blue Beetle) – 1:10 Incentive Variant

From the acclaimed team behind Detective Comics and Night of the Ghoul comes a modern horror classic! White Boats are the mega-yachts that the super-rich use to traverse the globe—floating islands where your every desire can be fulfilled. And getting invited on board one should be a dream come true…that is until the crew traps and transports you to a remote island where secret cults have existed for millennia, working on something called “The Human Project.” Does the White Boat ship you to paradise or sink you into hell on earth? WHITE BOAT reunites Scott Snyder, the visionary writer who redefined comic book dread with Wytches and introduced Batman into a terrifying, cerebral era, with modern noir master Francesco Francavilla for a white-knuckle descent into Lovecraftian maritime madness!

From the masterful minds of Becky Cloonan and Tula Lotay comes an intoxicating blend of history, eroticism, and the supernatural in SOMNA—an evocative masterpiece that draws inspiration from folk-horror staples like Midsommar and The Witch, and will transport readers to a world where passion and spirits intertwine, captivating your senses and leaving you craving more.
